In the way too soon NFL 2018 regular season, let’s have some fun predicting where each team in the NFC North will finish record-wise. Without further adieu, let’s have some fun! Chicago Bears As I noted in the last article I wrote regarding free agency acquisitions for the Chicago Bears, the Bears are looking to surround Mitchell Trubisky with the offensive personnel to contend with other prolific NFC powerhouses. Finishing in fourth place within the NFC North at 5-11, many thought that Chicago would actually finish…

Keep in mind that free agency has just begun in the NFL, and teams may continue to make trades and deals in the coming weeks. Without further adieu, let’s check in on the NFC North’s notable activity so far… Chicago Bears #FeedDaBears The Chicago front office firmly believes that QB Mitchell Trubisky is the future of this team, and they’re planning to load him with weapons to compete not only in the NFC North, but the NFC conference. Their major free agency acquisition has been signing former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson to a three-year deal worth $42…

It had to happen at some point, but most Packers fans would’ve preferred later down the road. The Green Bay Packers announced on Tuesday that they have released veteran wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Nelson was drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft, and almost instantly became a fan-favorite. The 32-year-old receiver was Aaron Rodgers’ top target during his 10-year career in Green Bay. Packers will be most grateful for his performance in Super Bowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which he tallied 140 yards and a touchdown to help the Packers bring the Vince Lomardi Trophy…

The NFL inches closer and closer to the official start of free agency on March 14. With that in mind, several deals and trades have taken place. So gear up for my Hail Mary, because I’m going deep! …I’ll stop…maybe. Denver Broncos Trade Away CB Aqib Talib The Denver Broncos announced on Thursday that they have traded cornerback Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams for a fifth-round pick. Denver has been looking to shop Talib for some time now, and sending him to the Rams gives both teams hope of moving towards the future. For the Broncos, trading…

The Seattle Seahawks have surfaced in the latest round of news as the NFL approaches the new year on March 14 — when free agency officially begins. The Seahawks are expected to release long-time CB Richard Sherman, and have already traded DE Michael Bennett to the Philadelphia Eagles. While some players simply suit up for their team, Sherman and Bennett are parts-synonymous with the creation of Seattle’s “Legion of Boom.” The Legion of Boom began to take shape during the 2011 season when Sherman, Bennett, Shaquill Griffin, Byron Maxwell, Justin Coleman, Kam Chancellor, Bradley McDougal and Earl Thomas arrived, and…

At the end of their NFC Championship defeat against the Eagles, the Vikings had a number of questions on what went wrong after their thrilling miracle a week prior. One of those questions was what to do with three starting quarterbacks on their active roster. Case Keenun, Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater have all been under center the past three seasons for the Vikings. While it’s nice to have that quality of depth at the position, sooner or later, someone was going to have to give-way to the other. Bridgewater, 25, sat behind then-starter Matt Cassel, but soon took over…

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier has been ruled out for the upcoming 2018 season, according to Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert, who met with the media on Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine. Shazier, 25, suffered a career-threatening spinal injury in December against the Cincinnati Bengals in just his fourth season with the team. Shazier underwent spinal stabilization surgery with hopes of playing football once again during his rehab. “I’ve gotta get back, bro,” Shazier said on Roosevelt Nix’s podcast. “Every day, bro. Every day I’m like — right now, I’m reading a book and it’s basically saying trust the…

The upcoming MLB 2018 season is right around the corner with the calendar about to turn to March, and for the first time in the game’s history, the season will being on March 28 instead of in April. In addition, for the first time since the 1968 season, all 30 clubs will be in action on Opening Day. Meaning bats will be cracking, balls-a-flying and flashing of the leather will be on deck (I’m sorry) for your favorite team in roughly a month from now. But like with any sport, there always is a slew of questions for teams looking…
