A game that was only decided by five points, the Bulls pull out the 86-81 victory over the Cavaliers. Along with out-shooting Cleveland, Chicago was more stout defensively. They had both more blocks and steals than Cleveland. Great performances by Wendell Carter Jr. and Antonio Blakeney were able to beat out Collin Sexton and Ante Zizic. Wendell Carter Jr. Throws a Block Party Carter had a tremendous game of 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 5 blocks. Without his performance, the Bulls would have probably fallen to Cleveland. His blocks were impressive, his rebounding was much-needed, and he had…

The Cavaliers met with the Wizards in both of their NBA Summer League debuts Friday night. A 72-59 win for the Cavaliers was a good start for the summer, especially because their young core pieces played extremely well. On the other hand, Washington struggled all game and didn’t have much of an offense. Right away, the game was in Cleveland’s hands as they took a 22-10 lead at the end of the first. The Cavaliers demolished Washington on the boards 51-35 and were able to force 25 turnovers. Washington will need a lot more scoring and rebounding with less mental…

The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons started their NBA Summer League Friday night. Although, it seemed as if only the Bucks decided to show up. Milwaukee defeated Detroit 90-63. Not a super exciting roster from Detroit, as they didn’t have a first-round pick playing, but they did have Khyri Thomas from Creighton, who many believed could have been selected late in the first-round. They also had Henry Ellenson, who they’ve been waiting to see if he can contribute to their roster. The Bucks didn’t have their first-round pick Donte DiVincenzo available for the game, as he strained right groin earlier in…

The Houston Rockets win a close match with the Indiana Pacers 93-89 Friday afternoon. Each team played very well, but Houston came out on top due to some unexpected players stepping up. The Pacers were playing their first game of the summer and it showed in the second quarter. Losing the second quarter 28-19 ultimately was the reason why the Pacers dropped this game. This was also Houston’s NBA Summer League debut, as they now start 1-0. The Pacers begin their NBA Summer League 0-1 and will hope to improve on that Saturday against the Spurs. It seemed as if it was down to the Lakers or the Pelicans where DeMarcus Cousins would sign this summer. Out of nowhere, the Warriors swoop in on the 4x All-Star to create a super super-team. The Warriors and Cousins agreed to a one-year, $5.3M deal Monday night in a signing that shocked the NBA world. The move makes so much sense for the Warriors, as their weakest position was at center. Toronto Raptors This Season The Toronto Raptors finished the regular season as the best team in the Eastern Conference with a 59-23 record. Many believed that this would be the year Toronto had a legit shot at the NBA Finals. If they failed to do so, they would at least be extremely close. Yet, the Raptors had to take the Washington Wizards to six games in the first round and looked unimpressive. Beal and Wall both showed quality play, but it wasn’t as great as other stars in the league had played. Toronto, year after year, struggles in the first…

This Season The Indiana Pacers were by far one of the most surprising teams of the NBA season and somehow managed to take LeBron’s Cavaliers to a Game 7 in the first round. If it wasn’t for Victor Oladipo, this team wouldn’t have come close to making the playoffs. Victor Oladipo was deserving of Most Improved Player of the Year.  Also, Nate McMillan has done an outstanding job in Indiana and looks to be their coach for the future. He was by far one of the best coaches this past year. Now, back to this Pacers team taking LeBron to…
