The NASCAR Cup Series made an announcement Tuesday that starting next year, they will be racing on the streets of Chicago. This marks the first race on a street course for the NASCAR Cup Series in the 21st century. The race will take place on July 2, 2023. Tyler Reddick will move out of the No. 8 car following the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series finale, as he has signed a contract to become a 23XI Racing driver starting in 2024. The deal is only reported as a multi-year deal. It was announced during Denny Hamlin’s weekly media time. Reddick joined the video call when one of the reporters was talking to Hamlin.
