Top 25 College Basketball Headlines

A matchup that many people said was “the matchup of the year” between Baylor and Gonzaga was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Gonzaga continues to show that they are the best team in the country, with a tough win over West Virginia. They now have cancelled games through December 14th, due to COVID-19 concerns.

Iowa’s Luka Garza continues to show why he is the frontrunner for player of the year. Garza is averaging 34 points on 76% shooting.

Michigan State becomes the first team to reach five wins, as they win three games last week, including a resume booster over Duke.

Texas takes down North Carolina at the buzzer in the championship of the Maui Invitational. Texas, then matched up against Villanova, gives the Wildcats all they can handle, as Villanova wins by two.

Wisconsin goes down to in-state rival Marquette, in a game that saw some controversial officiating down the last stretch of the game.

Ohio State kept their undefeated season alive with a win over Morehead State.

The highly-anticipated ACC-Big Ten Challenge starts on Tuesday. Matchups include: UNC/Iowa, Ohio State/Notre Dame, Duke/Illinois, Penn State/Virginia Tech and Virginia/Michigan State.

After surviving a scare against Pepperdine, San Diego State puts their undefeated record on the line, as they go to Arizona State on Thursday.

Richmond has three games this week, including a two-game homestead and a trip to West Virginia.

Louisville vs Wisconsin postponed for Wednesday. Wisconsin quickly found a replacement, with Rhode Island coming to Madison instead.
