After agreeing to a deal to acquire D’Angelo Russell from the Nets, the Warriors have traded veteran forward Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies, as well as a protected first round pick in 2024, 2025 and 2026. The move comes as no surprise, as a roster move was needed to make room for Russell. The 2015 Finals MVP will join the Grizzlies, after winning three championships with the Warriors. Just moments after the trade of Jimmy Butler was announced, the Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly agreed to terms with former Boston Celtics big man Al Horford. The deal is worth $109 million over four years, with incentives built in for the veteran. Horford opted out of his contract with Boston after putting up 13.6 ppg and grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game. The Milwaukee Bucks re-signed another key role player from last year’s NBA-best 60-win team, inking backup guard George Hill. The two parties agreed to a three-year, $29 million deal, just days after being waived by the Bucks to make cap room for the Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton signings. The Green Bay Packers made the first head coach hiring of the 2018-19 offseason, naming Matt LaFleur the team’s 15th head coach in 100 plus seasons.
