On Saturday evening, sources say that Richard Sherman has agreed to a deal with long time division rival San Francisco 49ers. The agreed upon contract is for three years, $39M with a $5M signing bonus. The four-time All-Pro cornerback was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, and it didn’t take long for him to find a new squad. Rumors of the deal arose immediately on Friday, after Sherman was seen having dinner Friday night with 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan. Sherman had planned meetings next week with other teams, but obviously those are canceled now. Sherman is entering his eighth…
Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields is fighting to make a comeback after sitting out last season. Shields, 30, was released by the Packers last February and missed the past season. The corner has struggled with concussions throughout his career, suffering four during his NFL campaign. The last concussion Shields suffered was in the Packers’ 2016 season opener. It was his second in only nine months. Before being released, he had played in only two of his final 23 games with Green Bay. First news of this comeback was hinted at by Packers safety Morgan Burnett, who posted the following…

Seriously…what was that? If this was a new form of protest, boy was it effective. Fergie came out confident, but damn, she needs some better friends to tell her that maybe putting her own spice on the national anthem is a bad idea. On days like this, she really misses the Peas. This performance was so bad that Colin Kaepernick stood up and told her to stop. Throughout the performance, the camera caught people like Draymond Green and Jimmy Kimmel being unable to keep a straight face. The jokes continued to pick up throughout the entire game. Draymond Green’s reaction was…
Shaun White Wins Men’s Halfpipe Gold Most mainstream media has made it sound as if Shaun White was facing Shaun White in the Olympics, but it was a much tougher battle than that. The men’s halfpipe quickly turned into one of the most exciting, competitive competitions in Olympic history. After winning gold medals in Turin in 2006 and in Vancouver 2010, Shaun White failed to reach the medal stand at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. He fell on his third and final run during the competition, which meant he finished fourth, just short of the bronze medal. Using this for…
2018 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony The opening ceremony of the 23rd Winter Olympics kicked off with the athletes from both Koreas marching under a unified flag, as announced last month. This is the first time they have done so since the 2006 Olympics in Italy. During a time of global unrest, this gave many a hope for some peace in the future. Since FlurrySports is a sports brand, I will leave the talk about North Korea and Kim Jong-un’s younger sister in attendance to other sites. Instead, we will be discussing how this Winter Olympics is said to be the…
