Two Masters Tournaments in a matter of six months? How lucky are we?! To many of you, it may seem like we were just talking about the Masters Tournament not long ago, and that’s simply because we were.
Even though we are all thankful the PGA found a way to host the 2020 Masters Tournament, it was just not the same. All feels right again, as it is April, the azaleas are in full bloom and we are set to hand out another green jacket from Augusta National.

Jon Rahm Masters Analysis
Jon Rahm (#3 Rank in World) – +1200 to Win
Jon Rahm’s Masters appearances can all be summed up by one famous phrase — close, but no cigar.
Rahm is a perennial favorite at Augusta, and it is no secret as to why. Though he has not been able to get over that hump, he always plays well, and has not placed outside the top-10 in his last three Masters Tournaments.
I say this every year, as he has been my pick the last four Masters Tournaments, but I think this will finally be the year we see the Spainiard don the green jacket.
Rahm has so much going for him in 2021. He has played more golf and appeared in more tournaments this year than most of the PGA’s other biggest names and Masters favorites. Not only has he been playing a ton of golf, he has been doing it at the highest possible level. In his six PGA tournament appearances since the start of 2021, he has only been out of contention one single time. Outside of that 32nd place finish, he has averaged eighth place.
He also just recently became a father for the first time. While that does not have a tangible effect on his play, we as sports fans have all seen this before. Players just develop a new type of focus and determination, almost like a super power. They want to make their children proud, even though many times they are far too little to even remember it.
Rahm is set up perfectly to do just that this weekend.
Jon Rahm Masters Picks
Given his streak of top-10 finishes, you absolutely have to take Rahm top-10 here. You’re only getting slightly above even money at +110. However, I see it as the perfect hedge opportunity to, at the very least, win back the unit you put on him to win.
Rahm finishing top-5 at +275 is just not quite enough to intrigue me. As I stated in my Masters Tournament Props article, I think it is going to be jam-packed at the top of the board. Because of that, I do think Rahm has a chance of being squeezed out of the top-5, if he is not on his absolute A-game. To me, he either wins it all, or will end up somewhere in that sixth-to-ninth range, where he has been all of 2021, and the previous three Masters. If he does end up top-5, it is still a victory for you, because you will cash your top-10 bet.
There are two final bets I would urge you to consider; top-20 after round one and top player from Spain.
Rahm has been very consistent in the opening round this year, averaging just under 70. While that doesn’t blow you away, it should be good enough to place him in that top-20 range while everyone is trying to figure out the course. I also love him as the top player from Spain, and am surprised the odds are not steeper as he only has two opponents to beat in Sergio Garcia and Jose Maria Olazabal.
