The 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and it went just about as poorly as it could have for dynasty fantasy football value. Several teams doubled up at positions within the draft, and many others took players at positions they already seemed to have.
For example, the consensus 1.01 for dynasty drafts, Jeremiyah Love, now enters a very crowded backfield. The draft’s top rookie tight end, Kenyon Sadiq, joins a New York Jets team that drafted the son of an NFL legend in the second round last season. It was frustrating, to put it mildly.
What was already perceived as a weaker class for fantasy football was made worse by landing spots. As a result, figuring out who to draft is not only more difficult, but it also seems very subjective depending on what you value or need. To help you out, I have my dynasty fantasy football rankings for PPR scoring leagues below. I will break players down in terms of tiers. Players within the same tier can be shuffled a bit depending on what your team may need or what you value.
Dynasty Fantasy Football Draft Strategy 2026
Prior to the 2026 NFL Draft, it seemed as though players with a top-four pick in dynasty should stay put, while the rest should explore moving their draft pick. This was especially true if you were able to land a 2027 first-round pick, as next season’s draft class is stronger for fantasy football overall.
Now, unless you have the top overall draft pick, you can absolutely explore the trade market to see what is available. In my opinion, there is no clear-cut 1.02, but it should be a wide receiver. However, there are several receivers next season who are better prospects than the 2026 season’s 1.02. If you are not competing this season, it may be worth acquiring draft capital for 2027.
If you are in need of a tight end, whether it be a TE Premium dynasty fantasy league or not, the next couple of draft classes may not help you out much. Tight end is a position you can either address in this rookie draft, whether it be by drafting a rookie or trading for an established player. We will discuss some of these rookie TEs below in the dynasty fantasy football rookie rankings.

Tier 1 | Dynasty Rookie Rankings
Jeremiyah Love, RB, Cardinals
Entering the 2026 NFL Draft, there was no doubting who the 1.01 in the dynasty fantasy football rookie rankings was. Yes, Jeremiyah Love getting drafted by the Arizona Cardinals is a major buzzkill, but it’s not enough to move him from being in a tier of his own.
Immediately, Love is the highest-paid running back in the NFL, since he was drafted third overall. While running backs are often a position of lesser value to NFL teams, since it is much easier to replace or put them in specialized roles, those who get selected in the top 10 of their draft class have incredible success. Take a look at Ashton Jeanty, Bijan Robinson, Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey and Leonard Fournette.
There is no doubt that the rookie season for Jeremiyah Love has a much lower ceiling than it would have been on another team. Still, he will be used plenty, and splitting the snaps early in his career should lead to longer sustained success. Just take a look at how that worked out for Derrick Henry (comparing the rookie reduced role, not the players).
Tier 2 | Dynasty Rookie Rankings
Jordyn Tyson, WR, Saints
Carnell Tate, WR, Titans
Makai Lemon, WR, Eagles
Jadarian Price, RB, Seahawks
Fernando Mendoza, QB, Eagles
If you are desperate for a quarterback, or in a 2QB league, you could make a case for Fernando Mendoza to be the 1.02. However, if it is a typical 1QB league, I would rank him fifth or sixth. I do not view Mendoza as an incredible physical talent. However, he can make the throws needed to succeed, and his football IQ is very high. The Kubiak system historically babies quarterbacks. All they are asked to do is read the defense and throw to the correct player. Mendoza is the perfect prospect in this system, but he won’t give you that instant gratification.
As for the top three wide receivers, they are all very close. Jordyn Tyson tops the list for me. I believe he is the most talented, but he has injury concerns. Chris Olave will draw top coverage away from Tyson, which is good. When Olave is out hurt, Tyson should soak up targets. Another great thing is the quarterback situation. Either Tyler Shough will improve and be the long-term answer, or the Saints will land a good rookie passer next season.
Between Carnell Tate and Makai Lemon, it depends on what you need. Tate should be the WR1 on the Titans this season. I am not fully convinced AJ Brown will be traded in Philadelphia, so Lemon’s career could start a bit slower. However, I view him as the safer and more talented prospect. His ceiling is lower than Tate’s, due to role both with their positions and in their respective offenses. I view Tate’s floor lower than Lemon’s, however.
If you are in desperate need of a running back, then Jadarian Price may be your best pick. As of now, he is the only healthy running back worth anything on the Seahawks. However, this is more of a selection for someone looking to compete this season. I am not convinced Seattle’s backfield is set quite yet, but even if it is, Price’s ceiling will be capped by a healthy Zach Charbonnet. He is also not a strong enough talent to be a convincing long-term add.
Tier 3 | Dynasty Rookie Rankings
KC Concepcion, WR, Browns
Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Jets
Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Jets
Denzel Boston, WR, Browns
The third tier in my dynasty fantasy football rookie rankings includes a mix of players, and the one you go for will be determined by what you need. KC Concepcion gets the edge over Denzel Boston among Browns wide receivers due to his role. Cleveland doesn’t have a great quarterback, so having a slot receiver that can create separation and give them easy passes is essential. Boston will likely play a little bit of the Jerry Jeudy role, which is running downfield and not getting targeted. If Cleveland does get good quarterback play at some point, though, Boston has the skills to develop into their WR1.
Omar Cooper Jr. and Kenyon Sadiq both join a New York Jets offense that would love to get more production out of their receivers, especially in the slot. Both will see snaps there. Cooper can get moved all over the lineup, while Sadiq will play the typical Y role as well when Mason Taylor isn’t. Sadiq has a higher ceiling than Cooper due to position scarcity. So, if you need help at TE, then you should take him. However, the lack of production in college is very alarming for me. Right now, he’s all potential.
Tier 4 | Dynasty Rookie Rankings
Jonah Coleman, RB, Broncos
Eli Stowers, TE, Eagles
De’Zhaun Stribling, WR, 49ers
Germie Bernard, WR, Steelers
Ty Simpson, QB, Rams
The fourth tier of my Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Rankings has five players you must be patient with. However, all five have veterans ahead of them who will not be on the team past a season or two. All five players are very talented and could very easily develop into reliable fantasy starters who play on solid offenses.
If you have a taxi squad, you should feel happy taking any of them.
Tier 5 | Dynasty Rookie Rankings
Antonio Williams, WR, Commanders
Chris Bell, WR, Dolphins
Zachariah Branch, WR, Falcons
Chris Brazzell II, WR, Panthers
Elijah Sarratt, WR, Ravens
Ja’Kobi Lane, WR, Ravens
Mike Washington Jr., RB, Raiders
Kaytron Allen, RB, Commanders
Ted Hurst, WR, Buccaneers
This fifth fantasy tier features players who should see valuable snaps in their rookie season. However, most of them will play alongside an established player at the same position, limiting their ceiling. For example, Antonio Williams joins a poor receiving corps in Washington, but he will clearly play behind Terry McLaurin. The same is true for Chris Brazzell II playing alongside Tetairoa McMillan.
Tier 6 | Dynasty Rookie Rankings
Malachi Fields, WR, Giants
Emmett Johnson, RB, Chiefs
Nicholas Singleton, RB, Titans
Caleb Douglas, WR, Dolphins
Skyler Bell, WR, Bills
Demond Claiborne, RB, Vikings
Tier 6 in these fantasy rookie rankings features players who could see a clear path to valuable touches if someone ahead of them is either traded or injured. For example, Malachi Fields is unlikely to be the WR2 to start the season for the Giants in the same way that Emmett Johnson will clearly not be the top running back in Kansas City. However, if Darnell Mooney or Kenneth Walker III, respectively, get injured, those players would become relevant.
Tier 7 | Dynasty Rookie Rankings
Max Klare, TE, Rams
Bryce Lance, WR, Saints
Kaelon Black, RB, 49ers
Carson Beck, QB, Cardinals
Brenen Thompson, WR, Chargers
Eli Raridon, TE, Patriots
Marlin Klein, TE, Texans
The final tier of my Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Rankings is players who are worth a pick late in drafts. They are players who need to develop, but they are interesting, and the path to playing time is potentially there within a few seasons.
