The Packers’ over/under for wins is currently at 90 coming after a season that saw Matt LaFluer make the NFC championship in his first season. The main concern entering the offseason for Green Bay was the lack of quality wide receivers. The Packers did not address this concern in the draft. Instead, they went out and signed Devin Funchess, who has since opted out of the 2020 season. The lack of addressing needs is why they see their projected win total drop from last season.

Packers Fantasy Passing Game

TE: Mercedes Lewis, Robert Tonyan

Like I said before, the Packers did not address their need for a receiver in the NFL Draft. They did go out and sign Funchess, who has now opted out of the 2020 season. While this is the case, the Packers do get back Equanimeous St. Brown, who has shown flashes of athleticism. This being his third season with the Packers, he should have a rapport with Aaron Rodgers, and his great athleticism should propel him to a solid season.

Davante Adams is a top-five receiver who will catch the majority of the passes from Rodgers and will score touchdowns effortlessly. Green Bay was looking towards second-year tight end Jace Sternberger as a contributor for the offense. After he was placed COVID-19 reserve list, his status for the season is up in the air. Mercedes Lewis will be used as the blocking tight end once again, but won’t be a consistent fantasy option. This passing offense, outside of Rodgers and Adams, is not eye-popping from a fantasy perspective. Adams should go in the first round of every draft. St. Brown is a very intriguing unknown on this offense, then we know what the other pass catchers are.

Another intriguing prospect that the Packers brought in is CFL star, Reggie Begelton. After not drafting a receiver, Begelton may be a sneaky option for Rodgers. Begelton recorded 102 receptions for 1,444 yards and 10 touchdowns in the CFL last season. Although the CFL and the NFL are very different, there is some potential with rookie and it should be interesting to see what he can provide for the Packers offense.

Packers Fantasy Running Game

RB: Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, Jamaal Williams
2020 Offensive Line Rank: 6th

Aaron Jones is the other player on the Packers that should be taken in the opening rounds of most fantasy football drafts. Jones is currently sitting at an ADP of 16. With the addition of rookie AJ Dillon, Jones is bound to regress from his 19 touchdowns last season. Look for Jones to get a majority of the touches on first and second down, as well as being used as a passing weapon.

Jamaal Williams is a high end handcuff at the beginning of the season, as Dillon gets integrated into an NFL offense. Williams is unlikely to see a lot of rushing work this season, but he was a factor in the receiving game, as he recorded 39 receptions for 253 yards and five touchdowns. Williams’ shifty running ability makes him an excellent receiving back. The question that I have about the utilization of Dillon, though, is that can he be an effective short yardage back? Can he convert in third or fourth and short? Can he punch in the touchdown on the goal line? The value that I see in Dillon is in a touchdown only league, maybe getting a couple of touchdowns this season.
