The 2025 NFL Combine is in the books, and it is Mock Draft Monday, so it feels like the perfect time to release my first 2025 NFL Mock Draft of the offseason!
The Combine as a whole was a disappointment, with many of the top players not participating in the on-field work. Still, there were plenty of others who solidified their draft status or made a name for themselves due to their testing. Yes, some of what we saw will impact today’s mock. However, there is still so much time, pro days, and more that need to take place before we have further clarity on players and landing spots.
With that in mind, here is my 2025 NFL Mock Draft 1.0! Obviously, the real draft will have plenty of trades. We may even see someone trade up to the first pick! Today, we will project the first round without any trades while giving notes on the first 16.
Zach Brunner’s 2025 NFL Mock Draft 1.0
1 — Tennessee Titans
Cam Ward, QB, Miami
Do I think the Tennessee Titans will draft a quarterback with the first overall pick? No, but it does appear someone will trade up to grab Cam Ward. Both New York teams are rumored to be in the mix, as well as a couple of others. This should help drive the price up to make this too sweet of a trade not to pull off for Tennessee.
Cam Ward is the most physically gifted all-around quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. While he has his share of issues, which are outlined in our Ward draft profile, he has all of the tools to be a franchise quarterback, as long as he has the right coaching.
2 — Cleveland Browns
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Cleveland Browns could land another first-round pick from a potential Myles Garrett trade in order to draft a replacement for him. But regardless, the Browns need two things: 1) a quarterback that both knows how to play football and doesn’t have scheduled court dates, and 2) a cheap quarterback. Drafting their long-term solution at quarterback helps to fulfill these two needs.
No, they are not able to fully take advantage of the perks that having a rookie quarterback contract due to Deshaun Watson’s money. However, the Browns need to save money where they can while also trying to win in order to keep other players happy. Shedeur Sanders knows what it takes to turn a losing program around. Keep in mind that this is a great spot for the Raiders to trade up.
3 — New York Giants
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
Could this be where the Titans make their first pick? Regardless, it’s time for the best player in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft to come off of the board. We all remember when owner John Mara said he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if Saquon Barkley went to the Eagles. He also mentioned Saquon was their most popular player… “by far.” Now, the Giants get the biggest star in the draft to help those jersey sales.
The Giants also have needs at both cornerback and wide receiver. Travis Hunter obviously can do both. With Malik Nabers in the mix, Hunter won’t be asked to play WR1. Instead, he will have certain packages on offense for the Giants while primarily playing on defense. Brian Daboll has a brain big enough to make this work.
4 — New England Patriots
Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
Give Mike Vrabel some defensive weapons to play with, and watch him cook. Abdul Carter is probably the most talented player in the 2025 NFL Draft. The lone knock now is the latest news about his foot. It sounds like he does not need surgery, so hopefully it is not something that lingers.
However, in a division with Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa and possibly a first-round rookie passer, the Patriots need to get after that quarterback. Abdul Carter is in a league of his own in this class in that regard.
5 — Jacksonville Jaguars
Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
If you can get a top-tier three-technique, you need to pull the trigger. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been terrible at getting after the quarterback. In a division where the opposing offensive lines are questionable, at best, getting a game-wrecker on the defensive line is an easy way to stay competitive. Mason Graham has top-tier pass-rushing potential from the interior, and he has the strength to play the run as well.
6 — Las Vegas Raiders
Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The Las Vegas Raiders need a whole lot of everything. I don’t think people give them enough credit for how terrible this team actually is. There is a strong chance they trade up to draft Shedeur Sanders. However, if they add a passer in free agency, or wait until Day 2 to take their quarterback, then protecting them should be the priority with this pick.
Will Campbell is one of my favorite offensive linemen in the draft (the Day 1s know my background). He has the build of an NFL tackle combined with great athleticism, which isn’t common nowadays. Campbell also has an attitude that aligns with the old “Raiders way” that I’d bet Pete Carroll will try to bring back.
7 — New York Jets
Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
This is a pick for Aaron Glenn, who gets to install his defense. Jalon Walker is a talented, versatile player who can line up all over. He is probably best at getting after the passer. However, Walker can play off-ball as well.
8 — Carolina Panthers
Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
The Carolina Panthers are desperate for an edge rusher, so they won’t be able to pass one up here. Shemar Stewart’s performance at the NFL Combine solidified what everyone thought about him prior to last week. He’s an extremely impressive human. However, he again is a player whose production is lacking (six sacks in three years). Carolina has time to develop him.
9 — New Orleans Saints
Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
You don’t trade away a player like Marshon Lattimore without immediately addressing the position. The Saints are in a position to draft the best player available, and that does appear to be Will Johnson. Limited by injury last season, I expect the hype on Johnson to continue growing from now until the draft. Since he did not take the field at the NFL Combine, his Pro Day will give us more information on the corner.
10 — Chicago Bears
Kelvin Banks, OL, Texas
It is no secret that the Chicago Bears need to do absolutely everything possible to keep Caleb Williams upright next season. If they draft anything other than an offensive lineman with this pick, it is a fireable offense. Kelvin Banks Jr. played left tackle in college, but he projects better at guard in the NFL. Either way, it will give the Bears some needed talent and versatility.
11 — San Francisco 49ers
Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Trent Williams isn’t getting any younger. He plans to come back for 2025, but you cannot project a full season out of him, and you cannot assume he will be on the field in 2026. So, the 49ers fight the urge to draft a wide receiver and instead take a solid tackle. Josh Simmons also has the ability to play on the right side for a season as well.

12 — Dallas Cowboys
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
The Dallas Cowboys should probably address other areas before wide receiver. However, they definitely have a need. If Tetairoa McMillan does make it to 12, then they would be fools to pass him up. McMillan would be an incredible complement on the outside to CeeDee Lamb.
13 — Miami Dolphins
Armand Membou, OL, Missouri
The Miami Dolphins’ offensive line continues to get worse. Given Tua Tagovailoa’s health and the need to establish the run in this offense, it is certainly a choice. Hopefully, a bit of self-scout makes them realize they need to draft an offensive lineman early. Here, they get a great player in Armand Membou. While he played at tackle in college, there is no doubt he will need to slide inside in the NFL.
14 — Indianapolis Colts
Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The Indianapolis Colts need a tight end in this offense, and it looks like Jelani Woods will never actually be healthy. So, they take a great three-down tight end in Tyler Warren. This will give Anthony Richardson a rock-solid option in the middle of the field, and he can also help in the running game.
15 — Atlanta Falcons
Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
After passing up an edge rusher last season and then refusing to trade for one when it was clearly the team’s biggest weakness, they use a first-round pick on one here.
Mykel Williams does not appear to be the third-best edge rusher. The film and his production tell you that. However, his measurements and athletics have scouts drooling, and I don’t believe in the Falcons’ judgment. You will hear that he has top-tier potential. He probably does. Will the Falcons get it out of him? We will see.
16 — Arizona Cardinals
Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
The Arizona Cardinals need help all along the defensive line. In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, they decide to go with a talented edge rusher in Mike Green, and they will try to get an interior defensive lineman another round. Green is explosive on the edge and polished in his skills. He will be needed for Arizona to try and contend atop this division.
17 — Cincinnati Bengals
Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
18 — Seattle Seahawks
Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama
19 — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
20 — Denver Broncos
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
21 — Pittsburgh Steelers
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
22 — Los Angeles Chargers
Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
23 — Green Bay Packers
Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
24 — Minnesota Vikings
Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
25 — Houston Texans
Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
26 — Los Angeles Rams
Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
27 — Baltimore Ravens
Nick Emmanori, S, South Carolina
28 — Detroit Lions
Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas
29 — Washington Commanders
Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
30 — Buffalo Bills
Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
31 — Kansas City Chiefs
Josh Conerly Jr., OL, Oregon
32 — Philadelphia Eagles
James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
