Warriors vs Grizzlies Prediction
Game 1 of this series had a little bit of everything. For starters, the Warriors deserve a ton of credit for getting the win despite the ridiculous ejection of Draymond Green. Although the Grizzlies fell one point short, the fact that they had a chance to win at the horn despite the majority of the team struggling offensively was duly impressive. Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. combined to score 77 of Memphis’ 116 total points on Sunday.
Among the Grizzlies players who struggled with his shot in the series-opener was Desmond Bane. This came after a First Round series in which Bane lit up Minnesota with regularity. Now, the Warriors vs Grizzlies injury report for Game 2 lists Bane as questionable with a back injury. One has to believe that he will be out there for Memphis tonight. Whether or not he is fully effective is a different story. However, it’s impossible not to favor Golden State even though the Grizz find themselves in a desperate situation at home tonight.
The Warriors are simply too deep and too talented. They also possess a wealth of postseason experience on the roster. The emergence of Jordan Poole to complement Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson has only made the Dubs even more dangerous. Unless the referees decide to kick Green out of Game 2 for no reason as well, the Warriors’ interior defense figures to be much more sound. Speaking of defense, Gary Payton II deserves some love for his play during the postseason. With he and other role players stepping up, the Warriors look every bit the part of a championship-caliber team.
Warriors vs Grizzlies Prediction: Warriors 115, Grizzlies 110
