The Cincinnati Bengals have a massive NFL Playoffs matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders to kickoff Super Wild Card Weekend on Saturday. While all Bengals fans are ready to get their taste of playoff action, many have been waiting for a Tee Higgins injury update.
Tee Higgins Injury Update
After sitting out Week 18 due to having the NFL Playoff berth clinched, a Tee Higgins injury popped up on the practice report that alarmed many. Apparently, he has been dealing with a foot injury. The injury had limited him in practice.
However, a positive Tee Higgins injury update came on Thursday.
Higgins was running routes and practicing with the team on Thursday. “He took the reps [on Wednesday]. Maybe he took one or two less reps than normal,” head coach Zac Taylor said on Thursday.
While it was alarming to see him on the Bengals injury report, it seems to be all systems go for the 22-year-old wide receiver.
Tee Higgins Stats
It is important for the Bengals to have him healthy for Saturday, as their receiving trio of Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd could be the best in the NFL.
While Chase is getting all of the media’s attention for his rookie season, it’s important to note that Tee Higgins has great receiving stats of his own. In 14 games, Higgins turned 108 targets into 74 receptions for 1,091 yards and six touchdowns. He will be an important piece to the puzzle if the Cincinnati Bengals go on a playoff run.
