Rugby Europe Championship 2023

February is the month for Rugby fans, as with the start of the Six Nations Championships, the 2023 Rugby Europe Championship is also knocking at the doors. From this season, the number of teams has increased from six to eight, with adding Germany and Poland to the competition. That said, now eight of the best European teams will showcase their potential in the championship, where they are divided into two groups and will culminate in a Grand Final.

Tournaments Viewing

  • Date: 4 February 2023 – 19 March 2023
  • Where: Arcul de Triumf, Bucharest
  • TV: OolaTV

Unlike the Six Nations Championships’ round-robin format, the Europe championship winner will be decided from a different format; Pool & Bracket format, in which 12 games will be played in the group phase from February 4, 2023, to February 19, 2023, before the start of the Grand finals and Ranking finals.

Coming to the championship, Jon Zabala is proud of its players as, according to him, he has some exciting and many of them are based in training centrecentersclubs in English or French rugby divisions.

Talking about one of the two newly added sides, Germany, 31st in the ranking German side, will be managed by Mark Kuhlmann, who has done everything for his nation’s rugby, from playing to captaining to managing the national side. However, they couldn’t have asked for a tougher draw in their championship’s first season, as they’re scheduled to face 13th-ranked hot favourites Georgia in their first game.
