It has been a tough offseason for the Green Bay Packers so far. The organization did have the opportunity to make major changes at general manager and head coach, though Ed Policy opted to double down on mediocrity by not only bringing the dynamic duo back, but also extending them. After slowly, methodically declining in competitiveness since their NFC Championship appearance, the Packers now enter a draft with many holes, little depth, no first-round draft pick and not much money to spend.
Recently, the Packers made the wise move of trading wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks. While Wicks is a talented receiver who deserved more snaps, he was on an expiring contract with little reason to accept another from the Packers. So, Green Bay flipped him for some draft picks, and now Brian Gutekunst will have to make some magic happen.
