The Cleveland Browns face the New York Jets in Week 16. What initially appeared to be a cake walk of a game just got more interesting. Due to Browns COVID issues and being deemed high-risk close contacts, the Browns will be missing a big chunk of their offense. Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones are all placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and out for Week 16.
Along with those three, KhaDarel Hodge and Jacob Phillips were also place on the list.
Jarvis Landry Out | Browns COVID
Why do I feel like every Landry fantasy football owner is facing Alvin Kamara in their league championship? All jokes aside, the Browns missing their top four wide receivers is a big blow for them against the Jets. It impacts a lot for those playing fantasy as well.
Not only does losing the top four receivers hurt, the roster movement limitations due to COVID could limit who the Browns could bring in and activate for tomorrow’s game.
Of course, if there is a team for this to happen against, most would feel the Browns should be able to handle business regardless, due to their backfield duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. However, the Jets are coming off an unlikely win, so anything is possible.
The Browns need a win to ensure they have a chance to win the division in Week 17. They play the Pittsburgh Steelers next week.
