Jalen Suggs Highlights

Jalen Suggs Draft Profile

Strengths

Scouts will be hard-pressed to find a prospect with a better basketball IQ and competitive fire in this draft class than Jalen Suggs. He has the ability to play both on and off the ball and never backs down from a chance to help his team win. While he doesn’t always chase his own shot, Suggs can score in bunches when needed. He is a solid 3-point shooter and is also aggressive on the dribble drive. His quickness and strength both suit him well on his way to the rim. His background as a football player really shows up at the defensive end where he plays bigger than his size. Suggs is an aggressive rebounder and doesn’t shy away from contact.

Weaknesses

As a scorer, it will be paramount for Suggs to become more consistent from 3-point range. He certainly has the potential to become a top-notch 3-point marksman at the NBA level. If he doesn’t improve from long-range, Suggs will need to get more creative when it comes to getting his own shot. While his speed and quickness were a step ahead of the competition he faced in college, things will be tougher in the pros. Suggs will need to build upon his athleticism.
