Evan Mobley Highlights

Evan Mobley Draft Profile

Strengths

Evan Mobley brings a level of quickness and agility that is not often seen in NBA big men. He has tremendous length and coordination and his pro upside is sky-high. That said, Mobley’s game is already quite advanced for a young post player. He combines a deft touch at the rim with a smooth shooting stroke that enables him to step out and hit shots from range. Mobley plays well in transition and is not shy about playing above the rim whenever the opportunity presents itself. He has a high basketball IQ, quick reflexes and is an excellent shot blocker.

Weaknesses

The biggest knock on Mobley ahead of the NBA Draft is his frame. Height is of no concern, but he lacks the muscle and weight to go with it. Mobley’s frame also doesn’t project as one that will likely add a ton of weight. This limits his potential as a power player in the post at the NBA level. He will need to add as much strength as possible if he hopes to have a prolonged career.
