Jermaine Burton Scouting Report

Strengths

Burton was certainly not the first, or really the second option for the Crimson Tide this season. Even so, the Georgia transfer did impress when given the ball. As a receiver, Jermaine Burton uses physicality to his advantage, often redirecting himself after getting knocked off of the route. On top of physicality, Burton is sure-handed, rarely producing drops and producing when he gets his number called. Burton is also a sneaky good deep ball receiver, as he has great vision and body control when tracking the football.

Weaknesses

While Burton is able to make strong catches, he sometimes lacks separation on his routes, forcing him to make contested catches. Burton is also not a huge threat with the ball in his hands. After making a catch, he more often than not gets tackled before making a tackle-breaking move.
