For many, the last week of the fantasy football regular season is here, and you are already thinking about that fantasy football championship belt. You’ve come to the right spot for help setting the best possible lineup, if you are still jockeying for a first-round bye or spot in the postseason. If you have Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen, you know what to do. If you don’t and have to make a tough choice, this is the place to be for those tough Week 14 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em decisions in single QB leagues.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 14 QBs

Start: Kirk Cousins Fantasy Outlook vs. Lions

A common theme of this article throughout the season has been to start your QBs against the Detroit Lions, as they are giving up 23.9 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing QBs, which is nearly a full three points worse than the next-closest team. This week is no exception, and Kirk Cousins has fared well against the Lions throughout his career, averaging 23.9 fppg against them and failing to hit the 20-point mark only three times in 10 career meetings. He has topped that mark in four of the last five meetings. Cousins makes for a rock-solid QB1 play this week

Start: Jared Goff Fantasy Outlook vs. Vikings

On the other side of the ball from the Minnesota Vikings, Jared Goff has a nice matchup as well with the Vikings allowing the seventh-most fppg, at 19.9. In his five career starts against the Vikings, Goff averages 22.3 points, and somewhere in that vicinity seems likely this week as well. This game sets up very well for fantasy purposes, with Week 14’s highest total at 52.5 and indoors at Ford Field. If you are in need of a QB with Lamar Jackson or Jimmy Garoppolo out, Goff makes an excellent spot starter.

Sit: Daniel Jones Fantasy Outlook vs. Eagles

Daniel Jones is the QB11 this season, but his consistency week in and week out has not been there. Over the last five weeks, Jones has been QB25, QB14, QB3, QB20 and QB12. This week, he draws a tough matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been the toughest defense against opposing QBs, allowing only 11.7 fppg. With this tough matchup on deck, you are best keeping Jones on your bench, if you have a comparable option.

Sit: Deshaun Watson Fantasy Outlook vs. Bengals

Last week, in his first regular season game action in 700 days, Deshaun Watson struggled mightily against his old team going, 12-for-22 passing for only 131 yards with an interception, adding only 21 yards on seven carries against his former team. This weekend, in a tough matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, who are allowing only 13.9 fppg against opposing QBs, Watson belongs on your bench. Perhaps next week he will be start-worthy if he shows signs of his old self, but this week he is not a recommended option in this fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em article.
