The Anduril 250 at Naval Base Coronado poses a fun little wrinkle as far as NASCAR DFS is concerned. The road and street course racing hierarchy has been changing over the last couple years. Couple this with a brand new track and its worth questioning whether some drivers who were once considered locks in this discipline are worth their price points.
Of course, one driver who no one is doubting is Shane van Gisbergen. Since arriving in the sport, he has flipped road racing completely on its head. SVG has won six of the last seven road and street course races and won the pole position in Saturday’s qualifying. The catch as far as DraftKings NASCAR DFS is concerned is that he is priced at $13,000.
By no means are we deterring you from riding SVG at his lofty price point this week. However, since so much of one’s salary budget will be used up in doing so, the real challenge becomes how to fill out the rest of a lineup. With that in mind, let’s break down of the top DraftKings NASCAR DFS salary savers to target for the Anduril 250.
DraftKings NASCAR DFS Scoring Overview
Before diving into the picks, here’s a quick breakdown of the key DraftKings NASCAR DFS scoring categories for Sunday’s race:
- Finishing Position: The bulk of your score. First place earns 45 points, second earns 42, third earns 41, and so on from there.
- Place Differential: +1 point for every position gained from starting spot to finishing position, -1 for every position lost. Starting deep in the field and finishing strong is a legitimate path to a big score.
- Laps Led: +0.25 points per lap. Drivers who run at the front all day accumulate meaningful bonus points over a full race distance.
- Fastest Lap: +0.45 points. A nice bonus, but not a primary roster construction consideration.

Anduril 250 NASCAR DFS Salary Savers (Less than $8,000)
Ryan Preece — $7,700 | Starting Position: 7th
With Ryan Preece has a background in modifiers which always tends to peak DraftKings NASCAR DFS interest at short tracks. It’s rare to hear his name brought up in the road and street course discussion, but the RFK Racing driver has quietly been one of the steadiest in the Cup Series in this discipline.
Including all road races contested in 2025 and so far in 2026, Preece ranks 11th in average finishing position at 14.75. He has secured two top-10s over that span and has a 75% success rate. His starting position of seventh could see him lose a few spots over the course of Sunday’s race, but a solid finish is firmly on the table.
Corey Heim — $6,800 | Starting Position: 13th
There’s no disputing that Corey Heim will encounter a step up in competition this weekend relative to the Craftsman Truck Series where he has had so much success over the years. However, the fact that no one has ever raced at this Naval Base Coronado circuit levels the playing field a bit. Heim already held his own in qualifying, securing the 13th starting spot.
Since the start of 2023, Heim dominated the truck series on road and street courses. He converted starts at Watkins Glen, the Charlotte ROVAL, Lime Rock Park and Mid-Ohio over that span into outright victories while also winning one of two starts at COTA.
Austin Hill — $6,000 | Starting Position: 10th
Austin Hill is the only full-time national series driver who is being allowed to run in more than one race this weekend due to the passing of Kyle Busch. Ordinarily, this probably wouldn’t be a huge deal. However, at a brand new track, the advantage of getting added seat time becomes magnified.
What’s more, the No. 33 car has already been fast on track this weekend. Hill sat atop the leaderboard for the better part of Friday’s Cup Series practice session and ultimately wound up ninth. He turned around and qualified tenth on Saturday. Hill then went on to win the O’Reilly Series race later in the evening. At that level, he has been been a fixture in the top-5 at road courses over the years.
