Pascal Siakam OVER 5.5 Assists (-141)
With Fred VanVleet officially listed as doubtful to play in Game 6, bettors can anticipate Pascal Siakam handling the basketball plenty for the Toronto Raptors again tonight. With respect to “Spicy P’s” game, his improvement as a passer and playmaker has really helped him flourish throughout the second half of the season.
Siakam has had no fewer than five assists in 11 of his last 14 games played. This includes each of the first five games of the postseason. Siakam has twice eclipsed the NBA player props line of 5.5 helpers in this series, had exactly five assists in two other games and has had no fewer than four in any game. Knowing that the Philadelphia 76ers will have to account for Siakam’s own scoring ability figures to leave the door open for him to dish to open teammates often in tonight’s high-stakes NBA betting matchup.
Even without VanVleet in the lineup, the Raptors certainly have plenty of capable scorers. The reinsertion of NBA Rookie of the Year Award winner Scottie Barnes to the lineup after he sustained his own injury in Game 1 has helped Toronto tremendously. Add in a sharpshooter like Gary Trent Jr. and an underrated scorer in OG Anunoby and Siakam certainly has plenty of options for who to distribute to on any given possession.

Herbert Jones UNDER 10.5 Points (-127)
New Orleans Pelicans rookie Herbert Jones has drastically exceeded expectations in his first year as a pro. The 23-year-old averaged nearly 30 minutes per game over the course of the season. His playing time has only increased since the start of the postseason. Jones has been on the floor for no less than 31 minutes in all seven of the Pelicans’ postseason games (including the NBA Play-In Tournament) thus far.
While Jones’ playing time is of no concern when it comes to betting on him to surpass NBA player props totals, his role in the offense certainly is. On the season, the former Alabama standout has averaged 9.5 points per game. This is notably one full point less than tonight’s NBA picks total of 10.5. Sure, Jones has successfully gone over this prop line in three of five games in this First Round series. However, it’s really difficult to bank on him sustaining the shooting numbers that enabled him to do so.
Jones managed to exceed 50% shooting from the field in both Games 2 and 3 of this series. He shot just below 50% in Game 4, and only surpassed the NBA betting picks total thanks to some late foul shots. The fact that he shot so well over those three games and still never scored more than 14 points gives a good indication of his role offensively. Jones logs big minutes primarily for his defensive prowess at this stage of his career. Add in the fact that the Phoenix Suns are still one of the league’s best defensive teams and bettors are wise to look under on this NBA props offering.

Jalen Brunson OVER 3.5 Assists (+112)
For those in search of a plus-money NBA betting picks option to round out Thursday’s portfolio, the assists prop for Dallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson is worth considering. The former Villanova Wildcat has put the entire league on notice with his efforts offensively throughout the Mavs’ First Round series. In addition to scoring no less than 23 points in each of five playoff games so far, Brunson has also recorded at least four assists in four of those contests.
Brunson tallied five total assists in Games 1 and 2 before dishing a full half-dozen in Game 3. With Luka Doncic returning to the starting lineup in Game 4, it was natural to believe that Brunson would have a drop-off in production. However, tonight’s NBA player props market may be overestimating said decline. After all, Brunson did average 4.8 dimes per game over the course of the full season. He split the difference on the prop line of 3.5 assists in Games 4 and 5 of this series, successfully going over the mark in Monday night’s blowout win.
Taking all of this into consideration, the fact that there is a plus-money NBA picks price on Brunson to go over 3.5 helpers in Game 6 is somewhat surprising. The 25-year-old proved over the course of the season that four assists were attainable. Add in a disgruntled opponent in the Utah Jazz and a banged-up Donovan Mitchell (who already was spouting forth no effort defensively as it was) and this over prediction seems to be worthwhile.
