The NASCAR Cup Series has five races left in its season. So, there are not a lot of opportunities to make some money on NASCAR DFS picks. The next track up on the season is the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. The Roval has provided some surprises in years past and so knowing who to pick is going to help you. You don’t want to pick a guy who you know can’t run on the road courses. Read below for the DraftKings NASCAR DFS picks and advice for the Bank of America Roval 400 race on Sunday.
DraftKings NASCAR DFS Overview
In this DraftKings NASCAR DFS picks column, we will be using DraftKings prices and scoring. Their scoring includes the following:
- .25 points for leading a lap
- .45 points for the fastest laps
- Add/subtract a half-point based on the difference in a driver’s finishing position relative to their starting position
- Points based on where the driver finishes
Bank of America ROVAL 400 Drivers to Consider | DraftKings NASCAR DFS Picks
Kyle Larson ($10,300)
The defending winner of the Bank of America Roval 400 is the driver of the 5 car. Kyle Larson overcame early problems in the race last year to come back and win. He also has a win in these Next-Gen cars on a road course. Larson currently is +18 above the cut line so he does not need to swing for the fences in this race to advance. Put the 5 car in your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineups.
AJ Allmendinger ($9,400)
The driver in the 16 this week is the Xfinity Series racer of AJ Allmendinger. Recently Allmendinger was given the 16 for next season. Why shouldn’t he go out and race well for this team that has him signed on for next year. Allmendinger dominates at this track in the Xfinity Series so that should translate a bit to the Cup side. Put the Dinger in your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineups
Michael McDowell ($7,300)
The sleeper cheap option this week is Michael McDowell. He has had the most top 10s of any year of his career this year. He loves the next gen cars. He is good on the road courses so why not continue that trend. Put the 34 car in your DraftKings NASCAR DFS linesups.
Bank of America Roval 400 Drivers to Avoid | DraftKings NASCAR DFS Picks
Kevin Harvick ($7,900)
Most of the time when a crew chief is away from the track at the teams command center they do better. This should be the opposite with the 4 team of Kevin Harvick and Rodney Childers. Childers is out for the next four weeks after his suspension after the Talladega race. Pair that up with Harvick has not had a good car since the start of the playoffs and the confidence level is low for this team. Avoid the 4 car in your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineups.
Christopher Bell ($9,300)
Christopher Bell has not had the best of Round of 12. Bell finds himself -45 below the cutoff line. He will need to throw stuff at the wall and hope it sticks. Based on his prior history at this track he will not be helping himself. Do not put the 20 in your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineups.
Kyle Busch ($8,100)
Kyle Busch has imploded down the stretch and has not had a good finish since before the start of the playoffs. Busch has also had one of the worst average finishes on road courses this year with the next gen car. In the five starts on the road courses this season Kyle Busch has an average finish in 26th. You might want to leave out the 18 for the rest of the year from your DraftKings NASCAR DFS lineups.
