Before the 2020 season, Ryquell Armstead was a sneaky pickup in many fantasy football leagues. Thanks to an extreme bout with COVID-19 however, he was out of the picture. With backup Devine Ozigbo suffering a hamstring injury in early September, the perfect storm was created for undrafted free agent James Robinson in fantasy football. To say he made the most of his opportunity is an understatement. Robinson was fifth in the NFL, with 1,070 rushing yards, and had 10 total touchdowns. He ended the season as the fantasy football RB7 and, at the age of 22, looked like the running…
If the Chicago Bears could draft quarterbacks like they draft running backs, they would have multiple Super Bowls by now. David Montgomery is the perfect example of how good Chicago is at drafting running backs. In his second year in the NFL, Montgomery ran for over 1,000 yards, caught over 400 receiving yards and totaled 10 touchdowns. Montgomery was fifth overall in all-purpose yards and rushing yards, while ranking fourth in total touches. In season three, we can likely expect more of the same from Montgomery. Even though Tarik Cohen will be back after tearing his ACL during the 2020…
Coming in to his rookie season with Indianapolis Colts, Jonathan Taylor found himself in a timeshare in the Indianapolis Colts backfield. Thanks to an early injury suffered by Marlon Mack, Taylor slowly found more and more time as the guy in the Colts backfield. Although he only ran for over 100 yards in three games, Taylor found himself finishing the season with 1,169 rushing yards, which was good enough for third among NFL running backs, giving him a great fantasy football season. Going into his sophomore season, the question remains whether or not the Colts will continue to use a…
We are now officially less than one week away from the first All-Star Week in the MLB since pre-COVID. Four participants have already been selected to the Home Run Derby. Most notably, Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani became the first pitcher to ever compete in the event. Before then, however, we still have a week of games for teams to try to build some momentum and/or end the first half on a high note. Here are the final MLB Power Rankings for the first half of this season. Week 14 MLB Power Rankings 1) Los Angeles Dodgers (53-31) (Last Week: 4)…
Aaron Jones not only had a great season on the field, but he also had fantastic success on the virtual gridiron as well in 2020. Jones posted another season as a top-5 fantasy football RB, running for just over 1,100 rushing yards, caught over 350 receiving yards and totaled 11 touchdowns. It doesn’t get much more consistent than Jones, who was held to single-digit fantasy points just once in 14 games. After another incredible season that again ended in heartbreak for Green Bay, Aaron Jones is coming into the 2021 season more driven than ever. Unfortunately, the reason is more…
Even with missing two games each of the past two seasons, Dalvin Cook still found himself among the best at the running back position in fantasy football. It’s no secret that Cook is the secret to this Minnesota Vikings offense, and it likely won’t change. Dalvin Cook is the bell cow for the Vikings and therefore will likely be putting up another impressive campaign this season. Football is an unpredictable game and fantasy football is arguably even more unpredictable. At this point however, what can we expect from Cook this season? Let’s discuss the Dalvin Cook fantasy football outlook for…
As June comes to a close, the standings continue to become less clogged up. The San Francisco Giants became the first team to hit the 50-win mark, with the Houston Astros likely next. With just over two weeks until the All-Star break in Denver, Colorado, how do all of the MLB teams stack up? Here are your updated MLB Power Rankings. Week 13 MLB Power Rankings 1) San Francisco Giants (50-27) (Last Week: 1) The Giants have won eight of their last 10 games and are 2.5 games over the Houston Astros for the best record in the MLB. They…
The human bowling ball that is Derrick Henry had another fantastic year in 2020. After a top-five fantasy football running back season in 2019, he followed it up with a RB2 finish in PPR leagues. It’s not too surprising to see, as he ran for over 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns. While his receiving output leaves something to be desired, it’s hard to argue with his production. The biggest news this offseason for the Tennessee Titans, however, wasn’t about Henry, but the acquisition of Julio Jones from the Atlanta Falcons. How will that impact Henry’s output in 2021? Let’s discuss…
There are and will continue to be a lot of questions in the Big Easy this offseason, after the retirement of Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. Thanks to the versatility of running back Alvin Kamara however, the quarterback stepping in will have a much easier time. Last season, Alvin Kamara was the #1 running back last season and the #4 player overall in PPR leagues, and it’s easy to see why. Let’s discuss Alvin Kamara’s fantasy football outlook for 2021, including his stats from 2020 and giving our buy or sell decision based on his current average draft position (ADP).…
