Arizona vs Wright State Prediction | March Madness Picks and Bracketology
In his first season at the helm, Tommy Lloyd has taken Arizona basketball right back to the top. The combination of talent, size and athleticism that the Wildcats possess has led many college basketball picks analysts to dub them the “most aesthetically pleasing” team in the country. Arizona is a popular pick to cut down the nets as NCAA Tournament National Champions and for good reason.
No team has had a true answer for leading scorer Bennedict Mathurin all season long. It’s hard to envision 16-seed Wright State being the first. Along with the long, athletic Mathurin, Arizona deploys an incredible rotation of size on the interior. Azuolas Tubelis and Christian Koloko dominated numerous Pac-12 Conference opponents this season. Late in the year, the Wildcats also began to work Oumar Ballo into the rotation more frequently. From a size standpoint, Arizona is truly a matchup nightmare, especially for a mid-major school like Wright State.
Unfortunately, Arizona did suffer a key loss during the Pac-12 Tournament as point guard Kerr Kriisa suffered a nasty ankle sprain. Although the Wildcats’ top three-point shooter and assists leader does seem to be trending towards being able to play in the NCAA Tournament, it would not be a surprise if he misses at least this First Round game. With this in mind, the Raiders become an interesting option at +21.5. Even if the Wildcats overwhelm Wright State early, a potential backdoor cover could be in play given the Raiders’ own offensive prowess.
Our college basketball betting Arizona vs Wright State prediction tonight will be Wright State +21.5 at BetUS.
For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Arizona a 97.2% chance to win.
