Weeks of speculation about Aaron Rodgers‘ future culminated with an Instagram post last night. He thanked his ex-fiancé, as well as many people in Green Bay. Weeks ago, the MVP said he would officially announce his future plans in person on the Pat McAfee Show. While he didn’t come to Indianapolis, Aaron Rodgers did join the show today.

Aaron Rodgers Instagram Post

The Aaron Rodgers Instagram post broke the internet last night. This led to all of the internet detectives, and I’m sure Packers “owners,” deciphering his message. What could all of this mean?

At face value, it appeared Rodgers has finished his reflection of the past year and he was ready to talk about his mindset. Of course, some of this has been proven true, which is why Rodgers sat down with Pat McAfee and the boys today. However, he did say he would come to Indianapolis to announce his future plans, and Rodgers was not in Indiana today.

Aaron Rodgers Tuesday on Pat McAfee Show

With over 100,000 people tuning into the YouTube show, the Aaron Rodgers announcement was something many built up in their minds. These expectations were quickly broken down, with Rodgers beginning the conversation by letting the audience, and McAfee, know there would be no announcement on his future today.

Like clockwork, the internet blew up about Rodgers, calling him a diva, acting pissed off about what the MVP said (or didn’t say).

But what is there to be mad about?

Aaron Rodgers posted a long, emotional Instagram message last night. Again, at face value, this was Rodgers venting and sharing what he has been reflecting about. He was sharing his thoughts and feelings, putting positivity out into the world and thanking those who made the past year great for him.

In response, the public, the fans, the “detectives” and the Packers “owners” made assumptions. The majority declared this a retirement message. He must be going on McAfee on Tuesday to make this massive announcement!

If you’re mad about what happened today, re-evaluate. No, Aaron Rodgers didn’t meet the expectations YOU set for him. Whose fault would that be? Simply, the MVP came on the Pat McAfee Show for Aaron Rodgers Tuesday, as he has done many times. Sorry about it.
