They still sport arguably the best offense in the nation, but they now have a defense and Chet Holmgren is the rim protector they needed last season. With all five of their starters playing every game this season, this team’s chemistry is high and they play their style of basketball perfectly.
Georgia State also has a talented post in Eliel Nsoseme, who has helped to improve their defense upon his return. He is a big reason why they turned their season around.
While we shouldn’t expect the Panthers to bust any brackets this year, they won’t go down without a fight. Their defense should be a bit annoying to Gonzaga early on. For this reason, I like Georgia State with the points. However, my favorite bet is taking the under, which has consistently hit for both schools.
