On Wednesday, CB Jourdan Lewis agreed to a three-year deal with the Cowboys. This deal guarantees Lewis $8 million and can be worth $16.5 million, according to reports on Twitter.

Welcome to Dallas Carlos Watkins

The Cowboys made money moves early Thursday by signing ex-Texans DL Carlos Watkins. According to reports Watkins signed a one-year deal with Dallas.

Shortly after the news broke, Twitter was quick to note Watkins’ stats with the Texans last season.

Cowboys announce that they’ve come to terms with defensive tackle Carlos Watkins. The 27-year-old played defensive tackle and defensive end for the Texans over the last four years, after he was taken in the 4th round out of Clemson.

He started 11 games last year, and had 2 sacks

Brent Urban Ready to “Rock Out” in Dallas

Dallas continued to weaponize the defense on Thursday afternoon. The Cowboys and the ex-Chicago Bears DT Brent Urban agreed to a one-year deal according to a very reliable source, his wife.

Kate Urban tweeted a series of tweets discussing her husband’s new deal in Dallas.

The #Cowboys have agreed to terms with defensive linemen Brent Urban to a 1-year deal, per source.

Tarell Basham Adds Depth to the LB Corps

Late on Thursday, the Cowboys signed former Jets LB Tarell Basham to a two-year contract reportedly worth up to $6.5 million.

It was rumored that the Cowboys had interest in Basham in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was ultimately picked up in the third-round by the Indianapolis Colts.

Blake Bell’s Homecoming

Dallas said bye-bye to the “Belldozer” on Thursday. TE Blake Bell signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bell was with the Chiefs in 2019 and was part of the 2020 Super Bowl LIV-winning team.

Ex-Cowboys TE Blake Bell just completed his physical. He'll be signing a one-year contract with the Chiefs, source said. Dallas is moving forward at TE position with Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz. Sean McKeon also showed promise in 2020 when developing as undrafted rookie.

The End of an Era

The Dallas Cowboys released the nine-year veteran punter Chris Jones. This leaves Hunter Niswander as the only punter currently on the team roster.

Thank you, Chris Jones.
