It’s finally draft week, which means it’s time to release my final mock draft of the season! I am really excited about this draft due to the talent in the trenches and the depth of mid-tier wide receivers. Teams across the league will get a lot better from this draft, but for most, this is not an exciting draft class.
We lack the huge stories, big personalities and top-end talent at skill positions. Someone asked me what the “story” of this draft will be. What is there to get excited about? My answer a few weeks ago was that there will be trades. Since there are so many good offensive linemen and defensive linemen, teams will be willing to move into the first round to get a fifth-year option for their rookie. But teams will be trading veteran players instead of draft picks.
Since that conversation, we have seen Dexter Lawrence traded. We still have the possible trades of AJ Brown, Brandon Aiyuk, Brian Thomas Jr. and other players who could be replaced in this draft. There is a decent chance we see another one of these players traded before the end of the weekend, and that will be a bigger story than any of the incoming rookies, sadly.
With that being said, let’s get into my final 2026 NFL mock draft! Unlike the first one, we will be projecting some trades. Let’s go!
Zach Brunner’s 2026 NFL Mock Draft 2.0
1 — Las Vegas Raiders
Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
After signing Kirk Cousins to a team-friendly deal that lets them keep him on the roster for multiple seasons, the Las Vegas Raiders could trade back, get a ton of draft capital, then draft a quarterback next season while having a competent starter in the meantime. That’s what I would do, but the Las Vegas Raiders will instead take Fernando Mendoza with the first overall draft pick. They will likely have Cousins start the year as their sacrificial lamb, then Mendoza will enter the lineup once the offensive line has improved a bit.
2 — New York Jets
Arvell Reese, LB/EDGE, Ohio State
The New York Jets have been rumored to go in multiple directions. However, the one thing we all know is that they have several defensive holes that must be filled. So, for my 2026 NFL Mock Draft, I have them selecting a versatile defender. Arvell Reese is an absolute terror that fits into every defensive scheme. It’s a draft pick that even the Jets can’t screw up.
3 — Arizona Cardinals
David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech
There are rumors that the Arizona Cardinals want to trade out of this pick. It’s possible, but I am unsure who would want to pay the price to trade up to the third overall pick. If they stay put, many analysts have Arizona locking down the first offensive lineman of the draft, but it also feels too early for a player like Francis Mauigoa to go. I have them going with the highest potential on the defensive front in David Bailey. Simply put, Bailey lives in the offensive backfield. When facing terrific offenses (and great offensive lines) as we see in the NFC West, the Cardinals need someone who can apply pressure.
4 — Tennessee Titans
Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
This again is a spot where the Tennessee Titans could trade back, given the great talent on the board and their overall team needs. However, we will say the first pick for Robert Saleh with the Titans will be the player the team wants to build an offense around, much like his first pick with the Jets (Zach Wilson). But this time, the Titans try to find a generation running back once again, taking Jeremiyah Love.
5 — New York Giants
Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
John Harbaugh wanted control over the roster, and he seemingly has it with the New York Giants. We also know Harbaugh will have his hands on the defense, much like we saw him do in Baltimore. This may be the highest you seem him projected, but Caleb Downs fits a need for the Giants, and he is one of the best prospects in this draft. He’s intelligent, a phenomenal tackler, and he will fill a Kyle Hamilton-like role on Harbaugh’s new team.
6 — Dallas Cowboys (via CLE*)
*PROJECTED TRADE: Cowboys get No. 6 for No. 12 and more
Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
The Dallas Cowboys make it a point to trade ahead of Washington, a divisional foe who could be eyeing Sonny Styles at No. 7. After their defense looked historically bad at several points last season, Jerry Jones and Dallas look to fortify the front seven through free agency and the draft, and then they will take a cornerback later on. Sonny Styles is a massive presence on the defense and a great run stopper. It would be a tremendous addition, with Saquon Barkley, Cam Skattebo and Jayden Daniels in the division.
7 — Washington Commanders
Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
The Washington Commanders must put Jayden Daniels in a position to succeed, following a sophomore slump that was highlighted by injuries. Right now, Washington’s second-best receiver is probably tight end Chig Okonkwo, so the skills of the top receiver in the draft class are desperately needed. That’s Carnell Tate, who would be a great complement to Terry McLaurin. Suddenly, the field will open up for McLaurin, who should finally start seeing one-on-ones downfield again. Tate also has the skills to become the WR1 for Daniels in a couple of seasons.
8 — New Orleans Saints
Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
Instead of trading the pick, the New Orleans Saints see an opportunity to keep a great player at home. Mansoor Delane starred at LSU, and now he fills a major position of need for New Orleans. Delane thrives in man coverage. So, in a division that now has Tetarioa McMillan, Emeka Egbuka and Drake London, someone like Delane is needed. He is a competitor at the outside corner position, though he does have the skills to slide into the slot as well.
9 — Kansas City Chiefs
Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami
Andy Reid has made it known that the Kansas City Chiefs need to address the offensive line early in this draft, so they will do so here, then take a cornerback a bit later. Francis Mauigoa locked down the right side of the offensive line for the Miami Hurricanes; now, he will be asked to do so for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Many have projected Mauigoa to make a position change to guard due to his lack of length, but he has the physical tools to take care of the edge against most pass rushers in the NFL. Reps against the freaks, like Maxx Crosby, may require a chip to slow them down, but that’s the case for anyone.

10 — New York Giants (via CIN)
Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
The Giants went with one of the best defensive prospects earlier in this 2026 NFL mock draft, and now they take a high-potential wide receiver who some believe has character concerns (something the Giants and John Harbaugh don’t care about). Jordyn Tyson is extremely talented and has the ability to play both outside and in the slot. Not only will that complement Malik Nabers well and also replace Wan’Dale Robinson, but it also gives the Giants some flexibility in their scheme if Darnell Mooney does not bounce back this season.
11 — Miami Dolphins
Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami
There are several positions the Miami Dolphins could go in, but after getting rid of both Jaelen Phillips and Bradley Chubb last season, Miami is in need of an edge rusher. Rueben Bain Jr. fits this defensive scheme perfectly, and his strength on the edge will win this team over. Playing against physical teams like the Patriots and Bills, Bain will be a mauler on the edge and help control the line of scrimmage.
12 — Cleveland Browns (via DAL*)
*PROJECTED TRADE outlined above
Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
The Cleveland Browns were able to trade back and still land one of the top offensive tackles in the draft. Spencer Fano is an instant starter for the Browns. He brings the experience and physicality of the run-first offense he played in, but he has the athleticism to move and stay in front of the division’s talented edge rushers. Fano must add strength, but he will play on a big, physical offensive line that can balance him out in the meantime.
13 — Los Angeles Rams (via ATL)
Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia
The Los Angeles Rams are bringing Matthew Stafford back, so they must ensure he is protected. Long-time great Rob Havenstein retired this offseason, and the Rams must find someone to replace that massive human being. Hell, if you put Monroe Freeling in Havenstein’s number, you may think it’s him standing there. At 6-7, 315 pounds, Freeling will be an instant starter, and a good one at that, who comes into the NFL battle-tested.
14 — Baltimore Ravens
Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
The Baltimore Ravens need a plan on the interior offensive line after losing Tyler Linderbaum, but it’s a bit too early for that. Instead, the Ravens take the best receiver available, who happens to be a difference-maker at tight end, in Kenyon Sadiq. The genetic freak (shoutout Scott Steiner) is a versatile receiver who can also block his tail off. He is the perfect fit for this Ravens offense, giving them exactly what they were hoping Isaiah Likely could turn into.
15 — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami
While many will hate Akheem Mesidor as a prospect due to his being a 25-year-old rookie, Todd Bowles has no time left for development. He needs a player who can contribute immediately, or he may be looking for a new job next season. Mesidor is a relentless edge rusher who was mentored by Jason Taylor. Bowles would have fun with the former Miami defender.
16 — Philadelphia Eagles (via NYJ*)
*PROJECTED TRADE: Eagles get No. 16 for No. 23 and more
Vega Ioane, G, Penn State
We know Howie Roseman likes to be aggressive during the draft. I also believe in this team’s ability to scout. As a result, I have them trading up for my favorite lineman in this draft — Vega Ioane. He will win the starting guard job in his rookie season and give them stability at the position. If the Eagles trade AJ Brown during the draft, possibly for the Patriots’ pick, Philadelphia could then draft the Lane Johnson replacement (or AJ Brown replacement) late in the first round.
The best sunflower seeds, for my money, come from Chinook Seedery! Not only do they have unique flavors, like cinnamon toast, lemon pepper or jalapeno ranch, but they also use less salt, so it doesn’t destroy your tongue. They are also jumbo seeds, which are way better than the small, crappy ones.
Use the Chinook Seedery promo code FLURRY to get 10% off your order every damn time you re-up!
17 — Detroit Lions
Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah
The Detroit Lions must figure out their offensive line in a hurry. After Taylor Decker moved on in the offseason, they now grab Caleb Lomu as a more than worthy replacement plan. Dan Campbell will love this guy.
18 — Minnesota Vikings
Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon
Is Harrison Smith returning or retiring? Either way, the Minnesota Vikings must have a plan at safety.
19 — Carolina Panthers
Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn
The Carolina Panthers’ pass rush was historically bad two seasons ago. They upgraded to terrible last season, and Keldric Faulk will help them continue in the right direction.
20 — Cleveland Browns (via DAL*)
Makai Lemon, WR, USC
The Browns get a talented slot receiver with their second, giving their quarterback an easy completion underneath.
21 — Pittsburgh Steelers
KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
The hosting Pittsburgh Steelers get a much-needed slot receiver, and fans in attendance will be very, very happy.
22 — Los Angeles Chargers
Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State
The Los Angeles Chargers have a pretty massive need on the defensive line, and Kayden McDonald can more than fill that need.
23 — New York Jets (via PHI*)
Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
After a trade in this NFL mock draft, the Jets are the lucky ones to trade Jermod McCoy, after losing both Sauce Gardner and DJ Reed. Of all the cornerbacks in the class, nobody has had a better season than Jermod McCoy. The issue is that the season I’m referencing was in 2024, and he’s had a bad injury since then. If he’s healthy, he could easily be a steal for the Jets with their second pick.
24 — Cleveland Browns (via JAX)
Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State
The Browns are presented with the option to draft either a corner or a safety, and they choose to take a corner to play opposite Denzel Ward. Chris Johnson has the tools to become that CB1 of the future in Cleveland.
25 — Chicago Bears
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
Both Kevin Byard III and Jaquan Brisker left this offseason, so drafting Emmanuel McNeil-Warren fills a major need for Chicago. The Bears are also able to grab their nose tackle in the second round.
26 — Buffalo Bills
Chase Bisontis, IOL, Texas A&M
The Buffalo Bills lost David Edwards this offseason, and replacing him on the interior offensive line is no easy task. However, Chase Bisontis will do a good job. He is a quick, strong guard than many scouts are liking more and more as they watch his tape.
27 — San Francisco 49ers
Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
Trent Williams isn’t getting any younger. The San Francisco 49ers draft Kadyn Proctor, who is a project, but the potential is high for him.
28 — Houston Texans
Caleb Banks, DT, Florida
While the offensive line is the position group most are projecting for Houston, they just invested all along their offensive line. Instead, they use their first pick to fill a need on the defensive line.
29 — Kansas City Chiefs (via LAR)
Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
The Kansas City Chiefs lost both top cornerbacks this offseason. Here, they may be tempted to take a wide receiver, but locking in Avieon Terrell to start on this defense is a much better option.
30 — Miami Dolphins (via DEN)
Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
The Miami Dolphins went with an edge rusher earlier in this NFL mock draft. Here, they get a safe wide receiver that fills a major need for the team.
31 — New England Patriots
Blake Miller, OT, Clemson
Will the New England Patriots trade this pick? It’s possible, but drafting a starter at offensive tackle will be tough to pass up.
32 — Las Vegas Raiders (via SEA*)
*PROJECTED TRADE: Raiders get No. 32 for No. 36 and more
Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State
It’s clear the Seattle Seahawks need draft picks. They will get the opportunity to trade out of the first round, as someone will be okay paying a bit extra in order to get a fifth-year option on a player of a premium position. In this NFL mock draft, we have the Raiders both starting and ending the first round. Max Iheanachor is a raw prospect, but he could be the right tackle Fernando Mendoza will need. There will be growing pains, but Kirk Cousins can be the victim of those.
