On offense, it appears Kyle Shanahan is going to deploy a two-quarterback system, which could be genius or disastrous. Still, with the weapons this team has, the offense should be just fine. The defense has a few changes to personnel, but the biggest question that must be answered is if this unit takes a step backwards, following the departure of Robert Saleh, who accepted the Jets’ head coaching position.
The Lions are looking at a complete overhaul, but it will be a process. Dan Campbell is the new head coach, and he looks to completely change the organization’s culture. Unfortunately, the team traded long-time quarterback Matthew Stafford away for Jared Goff, who doesn’t match this intended culture at all. He will be passing to the league’s worst receiving corps as well. Defensively, it doesn’t get much better. This will be a long season for Lions fans.
