The San Francisco offense has not been impressive this season but has not needed to be as the defense has played its way into being the best in the league. It is also understandable why they might not be as effective yet as they will be soon, given the fact that Kyle Shanahan spent the entire off-season and preseason tailor-making a playbook for a quarterback who could not be any more different than Jimmy Garoppolo. Lucky for them, the 49ers have benefited from a very soft schedule, and though Atlanta is far from a juggernaut, they have proven to be pesky and have the ability to win against anyone. The 49ers offense will need to show up if they hope for a win in this one.
Many people had Atlanta penciled in as a bottom feeder in the NFL this season. Despite only winning two games, the Falcons are actually a good team, and are on an incredible run against the spread.
