Wow. It’s hard to believe the NBA regular season has almost come to a conclusion. Sure, there were some hiccups early on in regard to COVID-19, but here we are. Only a few games remain for teams, as the playoff picture begins to become clearer by the day. Here are the three most consequential NBA games this week.

    Must-See NBA Games This Week

    Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics

Tuesday, May 11 at 6:30pm CST, TNT and League Pass

Just two games separate the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat in the standings. The Celtics are the current seventh seed and, therefore, would find themselves in a play-in game if the season were to end today. The Heat gained some separation on Sunday, with a 130-124 victory over the Celtics in Boston. Can they do it again in Boston on Tuesday?

    Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks

Saturday, May 15 (time TBD), League Pass

Depending on how the week shakes out for these two teams, this game could decide the entire landscape of the Eastern Conference NBA Playoffs picture. The Milwaukee Bucks are currently a half-game behind the Brooklyn Nets and 3.5 games back on the Philadelphia 76ers. While topping the 76ers will be a tough task, the Bucks are playing their best at the end of the season. The Bucks are 8-2 in their last 10 games and a staple win over the Heat could allow them to sneak into the second seed.

For the Heat, just one game separates their current position as the sixth seed with the fourth-seeded New York Knicks. If the Heat can steal a game in Milwaukee to end the season, they could go from the brink of play-in game action to homecourt advantage in the first round.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors

Sunday, May 16 (time TBD), NBA League Pass

The final regular season NBA game will likely be on late, but you won’t want to miss it. Heading into the week, just a half-game separates these two teams in the standings. This game has the potential to dramatically shape the play-in picture in the Western Conference. For example, if the Warriors can hold on to the eighth seed in the NBA Playoffs, they will be the road team with a chance to make the NBA Playoffs with one win. Should they Warriors lose and drop to nine, they would need two wins to make the playoffs. Of course, the same is true for the Grizzlies, depending on where they stand at the end of this hectic week of NBA games.
