Zyon McCollum Draft Profile

Strengths

Zyon McCollum is an absolute freak, in the most loving way. There seems to be a bit of confusion on his size, as he has been listed anywhere between 6-2 and 6-4, but he is a big, longer cornerback regardless. He pairs his size with ridiculous speed, running a 4.33-second 40-yard-dash.

McCollum has great football and balance, and he has a nose for the football. He totaled 54 passes defended and 13 interceptions in college. On top of his ability as a cornerback, he also has experience and success as a gunner on the punt team.

Weaknesses

McCollum has the tendency to get a bit handsy downfield. He can also lose his balance on his backpedal. Of course, the biggest knock for McCollum out of Sam Houston State is his lack of competition.
