This Sunday night, the WWE will host their annual Extreme Rules pay-per-view event. We will see a lot of setup for next month’s Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia. There are certainly plenty of other sporting events on Sunday. With a full slate of NFL football and the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race, bettors will have one busy day. Count WWE Extreme Rules among Sunday’s opportunities to have some sports betting action. The following article lays out everything you need to know ahead of the loaded wrestling card, including the best WWE betting picks and predictions.

WWE Extreme Rules Predictions and Betting Odds

Extreme Rules Match for the Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (-1000) vs Demon Finn Balor (+500)

The “Head of the Table”, Roman Reigns, has been the Universal Champion for over a year now. He took down John Cena at SummerSlam and a regular Finn Balor last month. The WWE teased Demon Balor one week before putting him out there, so we know it will be the alter-ego on Sunday. Demon Balor has never lost in the WWE. That might change on Sunday, as WWE has already made it official that Brock Lesnar will battle Roman Reigns at the Saudi Arabia show next month. But that’s okay, it’s not like they ruined the Extreme Rules main event or anything with that announcement. *Rolls eyes*

WWE Betting Picks: Roman Reigns

United States Championship Triple Threat Match: Damien Priest (-275) vs Sheamus (+230) vs Jeff Hardy (+500)

WWE Extreme Rules features another triple threat match involving Damien Priest and Sheamus for the United States title. It’s quite clear that the WWE is having Sheamus help build up Priest to make him a star. Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy was just added to this match on Monday following his win over Sheamus. It’s hard to see him walking out with the belt. After capturing the title at SummerSlam, Priest won’t lose it this soon.

WWE Betting Picks: Damien Priest

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (-400) vs Bianca Belair (+250)

WWE wasted no time on this match last month, so why should I?

Raw Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte Flair (-200) vs Alexa Bliss (+150)

Charlotte Flair captured the RAW Women’s title last month at SummerSlam in a triple threat match. A lot of people were surprised when that happened. Now, WWE’s new Fiend-like character, Alexa Bliss, is coming for the belt. With Charlotte being notorious for having short reigns, this match sets up as a good one to take the WWE betting underdog.

WWE Betting Picks: Alexa Bliss

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: The Usos (-250) vs Street Profits (+170)

The Street Profits are finally back after missing some time. They wasted no time at all in getting back to “wanting the smoke” and earning a title opportunity against The Usos. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins want their titles back and will undoubtedly bring the smoke on Sunday in what could be a show-stealing match. That said, expect the heels to get the win in the end.

WWE Betting Picks: The Usos

Women’s Singles Match: Liv Morgan (-400) vs Carmella (+250)

This match has had a little build-up to it. Surprisingly, Carmella is not in the SmackDown title picture for the first time in a few months. She has taken a step down to this feud with Liv Morgan who will compete in just her second-ever pay-per-view singles match on Sunday. Morgan was my WWE betting pick to win the Women’s Money in the Bank match a few months back. It is time to give her the push that she deserves.

WWE Betting Picks: Liv Morgan

WWE Championship Match: Big E vs Bobby Lashley

Note: This match has not officially been announced as being part of the WWE Extreme Rules card

This match has not been announced, but there is a lot of speculation that this could take place Sunday. Bobby Lashley lost the WWE title just 2 weeks before the pay-per-view when Big E cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Monday Night RAW. Big E’s championship reign will only be 13 days old when WWE Extreme Rules goes off. There is simply no way that both Money in the Bank winners lose their championships within a month of gaining them.

WWE Betting Picks: Big E
