From Big E Langston on NXT to the brute force of New Day on Smackdown and RAW, Big E has always been a fan favorite in the WWE. He’s already had a hall of fame career, winning a Money in the Bank, eight separate tag titles and three individual titles, but none as big as this.

Big E Crowned WWE Champion

It’s always awesome to see a guy who has worked so hard and provided so much entertainment to the fans get rewarded in grand fashion. We saw a similar situation take place with fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston, who got to live out a dream by winning the WWE title on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.

It is only September, but a well-written face character can carry a title for a very long time before it gets stale. If the WWE approaches this the right way, I very much can see Big E defending the title at upcoming WrestleMania 38 in April. At the bare minimum, I see him still in the title picture, quite possibly in a triple threat match.

WWE programming has had a tough time finding a new draw lately, but with all the antics and creativity Big E and the rest of New Day can provide, it might, for now, be appointment television.
