The spectacle known as pro wrestling’s Super Bowl comes to the City of Brotherly Love this year, as Philadelphia will host WrestleMania 40 on April 6th and 7th at Lincoln Financial Field. The two-night bonanza will feature plenty of championship matches and long-building rivalries. Everything is on the line, as the superstars of the WWE look to have their “WrestleMania Moment” and cement their legacies.

Below, we will dive into each of the WrestleMania 40 matches for Night 1 and give our predictions for how they will play out. Who will come out on top and secure their place in the history books at “The Grandest Stage of Them All?”

When Does WrestleMania 40 Start?

Like past years, WrestleMania XL will be a two-night event, packed with matches you won’t want to miss. Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 will begin at 7 p.m. ET tonight on Peacock. WrestleMania is back for Night 2 tomorrow, same time and place.

WrestleMania 40: Predictions For Night 2 Matches

Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits vs. The Final Testament in a six-man tag team Philadelphia street fight

This will be a brutal match with two teams who hate each other. The Final Testament will wreak havoc, but I think Bobby Lashley rallies the troops and finds a way to deliver a victory, sending Philly and the Street Profits into an all-night Solo Cup celebration.

Prediction: Bobbly Lashley and the Street Profits defeat The Final Testament

LA Knight vs AJ Styles

This one’s personal. LA Knight has shown he will stop at nothing to take out AJ Styles, even going as far as showing up to his house and getting arrested for the altercation that ensued. “The Mega Star” is riled up and wants retribution, and that’s when he’s most dangerous.

Prediction: LA Knight defeats AJ Styles

Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens in a United States Championship Triple Threat match

Logan Paul burst onto the scene of WWE and attained gold very quickly. This will be his toughest test yet, as he faces off against “The Viper” Randy Orton and “The Prizefighter” Kevin Owens. Triple Threat matches don’t favor the champion, as they don’t have to be pinned or submitted to lose the title. Unless he cheats again by busting out the brass knucks, Paul’s chances aren’t good.

Prediction: Randy Orton wins to become the new United States Champion

IYO SKY vs. Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship

Bayley is out for revenge on the members of Damage CTRL after they turned their back on her. Knocking off champion IYO SKY would be a dream come true for Bayley as she looks to win her second world championship.

Prediction: Bayley defeats IYO SKY to become the new WWE Women’s Champion

Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship

Drew McIntyre seems to be going off the deep end and developing a strange god complex, something that could make him a threat to Seth Rollins, but also vulnerable. McIntyre lets his emotions get the best of him, and although he can overpower Rollins, the champ’s ring savvy and knack for pulling off big moments at WrestleMania makes it hard to bet against him.

Prediction: Seth “Freakin” Rollins defeats Drew McIntyre to retain the World Heavyweight Championship

Bolder Prediction:

How many people have forgotten about Senor Money in the Bank?! Damian Priest of The Judgement Day has had the Money in the Bank briefcase, which contains a contract to cash-in for a title match at any time, for well over a year now. While his previous attempts have been thwarted, this feels like the moment when he finally gets a clean look. Feeling pressured and greedy if he and Balor lose their tag titles and Ripley loses her Women’s World Championship as predicted, I think Priest cashes in on an exhausted Rollins for an impromptu championship match after his faction loses all their gold.

Bold WrestleMania 40 Prediction: Damian Priest defeats Seth “Freakin” Rollins to become the new World Heavyweight Champion

Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

We’ve finally reached the main event. After losing on Night 1 and setting the stipulation for “Bloodline Rules,” Cody Rhodes will be in a hole from the get-go. However, I simply think he wants it more. The stage has been set for Cody to become champion for a while now, as he has won the Royal Rumble the last two years, but fell short of ending Roman’s reign last year at WrestleMania as the number one contender.

Reigns has held the championship for three and a half years, and it just feels like it’s time for the change to finally happen. “The American Nightmare” finally realizes his destiny and “finishes the story,” becoming champion and taking his place as the top draw in the WWE. His legendary father, “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, will be smiling down on his son as he accomplishes what he could never do in his time on earth: become WWE champion. The confetti rains down on a new champion Sunday night in Philadelphia, beginning a new era in WWE.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes defeats Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion
