If you are unaware what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 6 survivor picks wisely.

Last week, I went 2-1 on my picks, pushing my season record to 11-4. I was a Michael Badgley doink away from going 3-0. We are getting to the point in the season where we need to start thinking about taking some of the better teams to make sure that we make it until next week. With that in mind, here are my best picks for your Survivor pool.

Teams used for “Lock of the Week”

  • 1 – Buffalo Bills
  • 2 – San Francisco 49ers
  • 3 – Indianapolis Colts
  • 4 – Los Angeles Rams
  • 5– Pittsburgh Steelers

Lock of the Week | Week 6 Survivor Picks

Baltimore Ravens vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Ravens are coming off a pounding of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens look they are rolling after suffering a big loss to Kansas City a couple of weeks ago. The Ravens will look to make another statement win before they enter the bye next week. With Philadelphia sporting a solid defensive front, look for Lamar Jackson to incorporate his flurry of tight ends to attack the Philadelphia secondary. This seems like a game for Jackson to show that he is a good passer. If Baltimore can give Jackson enough time to go through his reads, he should have a huge passing day. Baltimore’s defense should be able to stifle Philadelphia’s offense just like we saw last week against Cincinnati. If Carson Wentz was struggling to complete passes against other defenses, he may not complete a pass against Baltimore. Look for Baltimore to annihilate the Eagles here.

Value Pick of the Week | Week 6 Survivor Picks

Chicago Bears vs. Carolina Panthers

We saw Todd Gurley tear up the Carolina Panthers’ defense last week. This week seems like a game where the Bears will try to get David Montgomery going. Montgomery, who many thought was going to have a big year may get his chance to shine this week. If Carolina wants to stop Montgomery, they will have to stack the box and put Nick Foles in a position to win the game. Foles is a good enough quarterback to find his weapons, Allen Robinson and Jimmy Graham. Chicago also has a good enough defense to keep Teddy Bridgewater in check. Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith should provide enough pressure to keep Bridgewater confused all game. Look for Chicago to continue their strong start to the year.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys

Arizona is going to play its third game in a row on the road. Playing on the road in the NFL is very tough to do and the third game in a row on the road seems like a bad recipe for the Cardinals. Andy Dalton is stepping in for Dak Prescott and to be honest its not that big of a downgrade. Dalton inherits an abundance of weapons. The Cardinals lost Chandler Jones, so Dalton should have plenty of time to go through his reads and find open receivers. This is a big opportunity for Andy Dalton and Mike McCarthy to show that they do in fact belong in the league and I fully expect them to take advantage of this opportunity and come out with a win.
