This past weekend’s NFL action saw not one but TWO massive upsets. Together, the underdog New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals became the first pair of teams to win outright when catching 14 or more points in the same weekend since 1973. As you can imagine, the shocking results created plenty of shifts throughout the FlurrySports Week 16 NFL power rankings. Read on to see how all 32 teams stack up with just two weeks remaining in the 2020 regular season.

Week 16 NFL Power Rankings

1. Kansas City Chiefs

Week 15 Ranking: 1

Many called the Chiefs matchup with the New Orleans Saints a potential Super Bowl LV preview. If that prediction holds true, it sure would appear that Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City are on track to become the first repeat Super Bowl champions since the New England Patriots won back-to-back titles in 2004 and ’05. The final margin of three points wasn’t the best indicator of a game in which the Chiefs trailed for all of five minutes. K.C. can clinch the AFC’s top seed and stay atop the Week 16 NFL power rankings with a win over the Falcons this Sunday.

2. Green Bay Packers

Week 15 Ranking: 2

Aaron Rodgers didn’t have gaudy statistics in Green Bay’s win over Carolina on Saturday night, but he didn’t need to. Aaron Jones posted 145 yards rushing, and the dual-threat offense the Packers possess was on full display in this one. The concern for Green Bay remains the defense, and the unit figures to get a thorough test from the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.

3. New Orleans Saints

Week 15 Ranking: 3

It’s impossible to penalize the Saints in the Week 16 NFL power rankings when all they did was lose to the Chiefs. Although he looked sore at times, Drew Brees posted a solid line in his return. He had to do so with limited help from the run game and without Michael Thomas, who is set to finish the regular season on IR. The Saints will look to clinch the NFC South title without him when they face the Vikings on Christmas Day.

4. Buffalo Bills

Week 15 Ranking: 4

In what handicappers and analysts everywhere were calling a trap game, the Bills went out and destroyed the Broncos on the road. The MVP buzz surrounding QB Josh Allen is modest, but it’s hard to argue very hard against it. He was electric again on Saturday with 359 yards passing and four total touchdowns. The latest Steelers loss leaves the Bills in control of their own destiny when it comes to AFC’s No. 2 seed.

5. Indianapolis Colts

Week 15 Ranking: 7

Playing a division rival two times in a three-week span is never easy, regardless of how the teams stack up in the standings. It’s safe to say that the Colts found that out first hand on Sunday as they pulled out a narrow home win over the Houston Texans. Even crazier is the fact that both of Indy’s wins over the Texans were sealed with red zone fumble recoveries with Houston was driving late. Nonetheless, the Colts remain tied with Tennessee atop the AFC South. A matchup against Pittsburgh this Sunday should provide a good measuring stick for their top-5 spot in the Week 16 NFL power rankings.

6. Los Angeles Rams

Week 15 Ranking: 5

The Rams did the unthinkable on Sunday, losing at home to the lowly New York Jets. L.A. was sleep-walking in the first half and failed to mount a full comeback over the final 30 minutes. For as talented as Sean McVay’s squad is, inconsistent performances like these sure are concerning, Bill Belichick conspiracy theories aside. Nonetheless, the Rams remain in control of their fate when it comes to the NFC West. Sunday’s game against the Seahawks looms large in terms of both the division and the Week 16 NFL power rankings.

7. Seattle Seahawks

Week 15 Ranking: 9

Russell Wilson continues to struggle relative to Russell Wilson standards, but the Seahawks are a Week 16 win away from clinching the NFC West division. It’s been a drastic role reversal in Seattle this season. As the offense has fallen off, a defense that was on pace for record futility has managed to turn things around. Jamal Adams and Carlos Dunlap have been key difference makers for a unit that has held each of its last six opponents to 23 points or less.

8. Tennessee Titans

Week 15 Ranking: 10

In case you hadn’t heard, the Titans’ offense is scary good. The talent-laden unit shone brightly on Sunday against an undermanned Detroit Lions defense. But for Tennessee to be a true threat in the AFC, the offense must outscore what the defense allows, which is no easy thing to do on a consistent basis. One can bet the defensive-minded Mike Vrabel will pull out all the stops down the stretch as the Titans try to secure an AFC South title and rise up the Week 16 NFL power rankings.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Week 15 Ranking: 8

The Bucs may have won in Atlanta last week, but I’d argue I could drop then further down the Week 16 NFL power rankings than the one spot I did. Tampa Bay looked awful in the first half, Tom Brady included. If not for the Falcons suffering multiple secondary injuries, it’s highly doubtful that the Buccaneers’ 31-point second half would’ve happened at all. At 9-5, Tampa is sitting pretty when it comes to qualifying for the NFC playoffs. In terms of how far they go beyond that, the outlook isn’t promising.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers

Week 15 Ranking: 6

From 11-0 to 11-3. Falling from No. 1 to No. 10 in the Week 16 NFL power rankings. From having a stranglehold on the AFC North to a potential winner-take-all showdown in Week 17. It’s been a rough three weeks for Mike Tomlin, Ben Roethlisberger, and the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s offense is broken, and they are running out of time to fix it. Recent form has resulted in the Steelers being listed as home underdogs in the Bovada Sportsbook odds for their Week 16 game against the Colts. That’s a line not many would’ve thought possible just one month ago.

11. Baltimore Ravens

Week 15 Ranking: 11

12. Cleveland Browns
