Week 16 Fantasy Football Streamers at DST

Arizona Cardinals (vs. SF)

The Cardinals defense has strung together a couple of solid weeks. They recorded six sacks and one safety against the Eagles last week, good for 12 fantasy points. In Week 14 against the Giants, they recorded eight sacks and three fumble recoveries. The Giants only had 159 yards of total offense and the Cardinals scored 25 fantasy points.

Arizona is looking to hold onto the seven seed in the NFC, and now they face an injury-riddled 49ers team with another quarterback switch. Raheem Mostert and Deebo Samuel are both dealing with injuries and this offense just doesn’t scare me right now. If it means anything, the 49ers only scored 20 points against Arizona all the way back in Week 1, when the 49ers were at full strength. Even the Cowboys had a strong defensive performance against the Niners last week, finishing with two sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

These division opponents know each other well and I think the Cardinals, fighting for a playoff spot, perform well on both sides of the ball and earn the victory. They are a solid streamer for you to ride to a championship.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at DET)

After a strong defensive start to the season, the Buccaneers have seriously cooled off. However, they are nine-point favorites against the Lions, and I expect the Bucs to put up points in this matchup. The Lions have allowed more than 30 points in four straight games. With the Lions trailing, the Bucs should have the opportunity to rack up sacks and force some turnovers. D’Andre Swift looks great right now, but the Bucs are amazing at stopping the run. They are allowing the fewest rushing yards per game (77.8 yds/g) by a wide margin. The Lions have given up a lot of fantasy points to opposing defenses recently, and I think the streak continues for Tampa Bay.

Washington Football Team (vs. CAR)

This feels like low hanging fruit, but since Washington is owned in less than 60% of ESPN leagues, I’m putting them in this article. Their defense has been seriously impressive this season, and now they take on a Carolina Panthers team that hasn’t been clicking offensively. The Panthers have lost eight of their last nine games. They put up more than 25 points in only three of them. Vegas projects this game with the lowest over/under of the week, at 44 points, and the Panthers have an implied point total of 21. Washington has held their opponents to 20 or fewer points in five consecutive games. They have three touchdowns, five interceptions, four fumble recoveries and 12 sacks during that span. I’m very comfortable rolling with them in Week 16.
