Week 16 Fantasy Football Streamers at TE

Austin Hooper, CLE (vs. NYJ)

With Odell Beckham Jr. being out for the year due to injury, Hooper should be a big reliable target for Baker Mayfield. Only owned in 53% of ESPN leagues. The Jets’ defense is susceptible to giving up points to opposing tight ends. Hooper is a good enough blocker to stay on the field for the majority of the game. With a strong run game, Cleveland should be able to get their play action going, which can only help Hooper. Look for Hooper to catch a handful of targets this week and find the end zone at least once, based on the bad Jets defense. That is more than enough to be a great streamer for your team.

Jordan Akins, HOU (vs. CIN)

Deshaun Watson should be able to pass all over this Cincinnati Bengals defense. Watson has traditionally relied upon his tight ends. With Akins becoming a bigger part of this offense, he should see most of the tight end targets as opposed to Darren Fells. Akins will have to be used in a receiving role this week, as he is one of the only vertical threats to catch the ball, other than Brandin Cooks. Akins should see plenty of targets as a bail out receiver for Watson. He is a sneaky streamer for this week and beyond.

Dalton Schultz, DAL (vs. PHI)

Dalton Schultz has been a consistent weapon in this Cowboys offense. Schultz in only owned in 31% of ESPN leagues. Schultz is able to work the middle of the field and provide a safe outlet for Andy Dalton. It is almost guaranteed that Schultz will get around 40 yards on a handful of catches, everything else he gets is just extra. Matched up against a Philadelphia defense, who gives up the eighth most fantasy points for tight ends, Schultz should be a solid streamer for a position that has been hard to find points for this season.
