Taking a look at the best Week 14 NFL Survivor Pool Picks, including the Denver Broncos.
We’re down to the final few weeks of the season, and we have a few good teams left to use in our survival pool! If you are unaware of what NFL Survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 14 NFL Survivor Pool picks wisely.
If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week,” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick of the week.”
The “lock” details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This will most likely be a good team that plays a bad.

Denver Broncos vs Las Vegas Raiders
In an AFC West matchup, the Denver Broncos open the week as 7.5-point favorites over the Las Vegas Raiders. At this point in the season, it looks like the Broncos have one of the best defensive units in the NFL and will continue to ride that in a win over the Raiders here. Entering last offseason, the biggest issue with the Raiders was their offensive line. In a shocking twist, they did nothing to address that, instead opting for a aging quarterback and a rookie running back. With probably the worst offensive line in football, the Broncos, who lead the NFL in sacks, will have a field day. Geno Smith will struggle heavily in this game, which plays perfectly in the Broncos’ favor, as Smith already leads the NFL in interceptions thrown. So, if we are throwing pressure his way the entire game, I expect this to be a multi-interception game from Smith.
On the offensive side of the ball for the Broncos, I am expecting that they can move the ball fairly easily in this game and put up points. There is nothing on this Raiders defense that really scares you, as they rank 26th in scoring defense. Running the ball with their trio of backs is going to be key for Bo Nix to settle in and not have to play “hero ball.” Denver also has the advantage on the outside with receivers. I can picture it now: Eric Stokes is going to get torched by Troy Franklin at least once in bump-and-run coverage. With one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, Denver will be able to neutralize Maxx Crosby in this game, giving Nix more than enough time to make the right read.

Value Pick of the Week | Week 14 NFL Survivor Pool Picks
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints
This is kind of an odd pick, as it is hard to say that a team with the quality of players as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fits into the value pick territory, but when you have lost three of your last four games, it plays. The Buccaneers come into the week as 8.5-point favorites over the New Orleans Saints, the biggest spread of the weekend and probably for good reason. The Bucs were able to snap their three-game losing streak against the Cardinals last week, with Bucky Irving coming back and looking like he did not miss a beat. With Mike Evans injured, the return of Irving gives an incredible boost to a Tampa offense that has looked stagnant through the back half of the year. That plays well for Tampa this week, as the Saints currently rank 21st in yards given up on the ground. With the run game going, that will set up the play-action game, where Baker Mayfield is at his best. With Chris Godwin getting healthier every week and Emeka Egbuka being a stud, the Bucs have the weapons to beat a below-average Saints defense.
In the grand scheme of things, Tampa really needs a good win. As I stated before, they have not been playing their best football lately, and even though they are atop of their division, the Panthers are lurking. I think that the Bucs still win this division, but I would not say the vibes are very high in Western Florida. Enter the New Orleans Saints, who are probably a bottom-three team in the NFL. This is a chance for the Bucs to beat up on a bad team and get those vibes up with it being a divisional matchup. Look for Tampa to figure out some offensive woes and get back to that elite offense that we know they are.

High Risk, High Reward Pick of the Week | Week 14 NFL Survivor Pool Picks
Cleveland Browns vs Tennessee Titans
When we talk about a high-risk, high-reward pick, this seems like the perfect game to look at. The Cleveland Browns are not a very good football team, but luckily, they go up against the Tennessee Titans, who are the worst team in the NFL. They are an Arizona Cardinals collapse away from being winless right now. When you look at the Titans, there is just nothing on this team that stands out to you. Sure, Cam Ward has done what he can, but without good offensive line, running back, or receiver play, it is hard for the rookie to succeed in his first year starting. As is always the case with rookie quarterbacks, there needs to be a strong run game for that player to settle in. The Browns’ rush defense is one of the better units in the NFL, so it is hard to imagine that an already bad rushing offense in Tennessee has any sort of prolonged success against Cleveland.
Speaking of Cleveland’s defense, it features the best player in the NFL. Myles Garrett is just four sacks away from setting the single-season record. It is a possibility that this happens in this game. Now, I am not saying that the Browns are a good football team, but if the signifier in this game for the winner is whoever has the better player, it is Cleveland, and it is not particularly close. Look for Garrett to set the sack record this week as the Browns take care of business against the Titans.
