Week 13 NFL DFS Picks for FanDuel

Quarterbacks

Tom Brady ($8,100)

Tom Brady has struggled to find his rhythm in recent weeks, throwing six interceptions in his last four games. Brady’s struggles aside, this Buccaneers offense has continued to roll, with Leonard Fournette carrying the load last week. In a matchup against Atlanta this Sunday, Tampa Bay holds the highest implied team total this week with 30.75 points. On a volume basis, Brady continues to be the most heavily utilized quarterback in the league, ranking first with 41.5 passing attempts and 2.7 passing touchdowns per game. Look for Brady to bounce back against a generally weak Falcons secondary once you look past cornerback A.J. Terrell.

Matthew Stafford ($7,800)

With such a shortage of fantasy-viable quarterbacks on this slate, I recommend sticking to the chalky options. This brings us to Matthew Stafford, someone who hit a brick wall after starting the season as an MVP candidate. This week, he will get a perfect get-right matchup against a Jaguars defense that lacks playmakers. With Cooper Kupp and new acquisition Odell Beckham Jr caught up to speed, Stafford will be in a position to succeed. As the Rams enter Sunday as -13.0 point favorites, the main concern for Stafford is if game-flow forces them to lean heavily on the run.

Other NFL DFS Options: Kyler Murray ($8,300), Justin Herbert ($8,200), Jalen Hurts ($8,000), Kirk Cousins ($7,700)

Running Backs

Jonathan Taylor ($10,500)

Jonathan Taylor has rightfully earned his spot as the only player priced above $10,000, leading the league in rushing yards and touchdowns. He will get a cake matchup against the lowly Texans who allow the second-most rushing yards per game. As the Colts enter the week as 10-point favorites, Taylor’s fantasy ceiling is the moon. Don’t be surprised if Taylor goes upwards of 30 carries for the second time this season.

James Conner ($7,300)

Alongside James Conner, there are plenty of RBs that I like in the $7000-$8000 salary range. This includes Leonard Fournette, Eli Mitchell, Darrell Henderson, and Saquon Barkley. With Conner’s touchdown upside and his inflated usage without Chase Edmonds, he is my favorite play of the bunch. As Kyler Murray’s health is still in question, this Arizona offense could spend another week leaning heavily on Conner. He is a great play even in a mediocre matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Antonio Gibson ($6,200)

Come on now, it should be a crime for Antonio Gibson to be priced at this low of a salary. Since his Week 8 bye, he’s averaging 24 carries per game and will match up with a run-funnel Raiders defense. Not to mention he’ll see an uptick in usage with third-down back J.D. McKissic out with a concussion. In addition, Gibson is flying under the radar, seeing low ownership projections in the 12-15% range on FanDuel. All signs are pointing to a strong game from Gibson, making him my favorite running back play of the week.

Other NFL DFS Picks: Alexander Mattison ($8,700), Leonard Fournette ($7,700), Elijah Mitchell ($7,600), Jamaal Williams ($6,500)

Wide Receivers

Justin Jefferson ($8,000)

With the Vikings slated to play against the Lions, they have the fifth-highest team total of the week (27.0). You’re going to want at least one of Justin Jefferson, Alexander Mattison, and Adam Thielen in your lineup as there are plenty of points to go around. Jefferson emerges as my favorite of the bunch, as he will primarily line up opposite of struggling corner Amani Oruwariye. Oruwariye has been targetted a whopping 53 times this season as he allows a reception on 66% of these throws. Both Jefferson and Thielen have been red hot in recent weeks and are strong plays in cash games and GPPs.

Chris Godwin ($7,600) & Mike Evans ($7,400)

With Antonio Brown suspended for three games, the Buccaneers stacking options come down to the duo of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. It’s ultimately a toss-up between the star receivers, coming down to which player sees more coverage from A.J. Terrell. Terrell doesn’t shadow opposing wide receivers so it will be interesting to see which wideout will have the better game. You’re going to want shares of both players in what is expected to be the highest-scoring game of the week.

Diontae Johnson ($7,200)

Diontae Johnson has been one of the most-targeted receivers all season, ranking sixth with 109 targets. This week, he’ll get a date with the division rival Baltimore Ravens who allow the most receiving yards per game. This Ravens secondary has not been up to par this season with Marlon Humphrey and Anthony Averett struggling in coverage. Johnson is someone whose volume and high floor make him an elite play in all contests.

DeVonta Smith ($6,300)

After receiving just four targets against the Giants last week, DeVonta Smith was letting his frustrations out on the sidelines. His target volume has lacked as he hasn’t seen over six targets since Week 7 in this run-heavy offense. Looking ahead, Smith will match up against a Jets defense that has been terrible in every aspect of the game. He will be guarded primarily by Javelin Guidry who has failed to cover opposing WR1s all season. With Jalen Hurts nursing an ankle injury, the quarterback will have to rely more on his arm for once.

Other NFL DFS Picks: Cooper Kupp ($9,000), Adam Thielen ($7,600), Jaylen Waddle ($6,900), Hunter Renfrow ($6,400), DeVante Parker ($5,400)

Tight Ends

George Kittle ($6,300)

After nearly putting up a goose egg in Week 12, George Kittle’s FanDuel salary has fallen by $400 this week. With Deebo Samuel expected to miss time with a groin injury, it’s “next man up” in this 49ers offense. The trio of George Kittle, Eli Mitchell, and Brandon Aiyuk will all see an uptick in usage. They will face off against a Seahawks defense that ranks second-last in defending the pass. While his floor is low, Kittle has a high chance of returning value on Sunday with this matchup.

Foster Moreau ($5,000)

With Darren Waller out against Washington, Foster Moreau will attempt to step into his role. In Week 7 when Waller missed time, Moreau corralled all six of his targets for 60 yards and a touchdown. He played 100% of offensive snaps in this game without Waller. At basically minimum salary, Moreau will be a risk-free NFL DFS value option this weekend. Much like Kittle, he has a plus matchup, as the Washington Football Team allows the third-most receiving yards per game.

Other NFL DFS Options: Mark Andrews ($7,300), Kyle Pitts ($6,200)
