Tyler Herro may be just 19 years old, but he played well beyond his age against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. The rookie stole the show in what was Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heat debut.
Second Quarter Success
Tyler Herro had the most points in a quarter by a rookie in Miami Heat history since Caron Butler in 2003. Herro scored 19 points in the second quarter alone.
Herro finished the game with 29 points (7/9FG), seven rebounds and two assists, shooting 3/4 from three-point range. The Miami Heat won the game, 112-97. The dark horse candidate for Rookie of the Year is making his mark early in the 2019-20 NBA season.
