Tua Tagovailoa made headlines in Week 6, as he entered the game in garbage time to see his first bit of NFL action. After embracing the moment. the rookie seems to have been given the nod from the coaching staff and his teammates, as the Miami Dolphins name Tua the starting quarterback following their Week 7 bye.

    Tua Tagovailoa Named Starter

With the Dolphins shutting out the pathetic New York Jets, Tua was able to see his first bit of NFL action at the end of the game. He attempted just two passes, but completed both for nine yards.

This may not seem like much, and it isn’t, but it’s possible the rookie’s actions following the game proved he is ready for this moment.

Following the game, Tua returned to the field. With his shoulder pads still on, he sat on the field and soaked up the moment. It had been a long journey since his injury at Alabama, but he officially became an NFL quarterback in Week 6.

Now, in Week 8, Tua Tagovailoa will officially become an NFL starter.
