Tennessee vs Texas Prediction | March Madness Expert Picks

In the first half, it looked like the Texas Longhorns would be a big threat to anybody in the Midwest Region as they held a 27-11 lead at half over Colorado State. Instead, the inconsistency they’ve fought all season reared its ugly head in the second half. While the Longhorns won comfortably at the end, Colorado State made it a game with a few minutes to spare. The biggest problem is Texas shot just 40% from the field and 7% from deep.

Tennessee, on the other hand, was on fire and seemingly everything they were shooting was going in for most of the game. Tennessee dropped 46 in the first half against Saint Peter’s and it was clear they were in a league of their own. While the Volunteers’ offense slowed down in the second half, the game was far over by then. The best part of the win for Tennessee fans was that this offense was much more than just Dalton Knecht. If the other players can provide a boost and make their offense less one-dimensional, they will be a problem for any team they match up against.

In a blender, Texas has more than enough talent to take down Tennessee. With that being said, they have shown an inability to play a complete 40 minutes and have struggled to play two decent games in a row for quite some time now. Tennessee looks just too strong for the Longhorns right now and look primed for a Sweet 16 appearance. For our Tennessee vs Texas prediction, we are picking the Tennessee Volunteers to win and move on in the NCAA Tournament.
