After securing what they believe to be their franchise quarterback first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, there was plenty of reason for optimism for the Tennessee Titans going into the 2025 season. Instead, the team was just as bad as it was before, although they do not have the luxury of picking first overall for the second straight season. With a new regime under new head coach Robert Salah taking charge, the Titans again have an opportunity to set themselves up well for the future.

All good teams are at least somewhat built through the NFL Draft. This Titans team will be no different. While they played some truly horrible football last year, they do have pieces to build around that they didn’t have before. With the future starting now for the Titans, this draft pick will be absolutely crucial to their success. If they can nail the pick again, they may find themselves winning eight or nine games this year. If not, they could find themselves with a top-five pick yet again in 2027.

Here are the Tennessee Titans’ draft targets for the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Tennessee Titans Draft Targets at No. 4

Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

While I do not personally believe running backs should be taken this high in the draft, as they say: “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” Many analysts are projecting Jeremiyah Love to go to the Tennessee Titans, including our official mock draft. Last season, the Titans drafted their quarterback of the future in Cam Ward. Not only did they bring in Robert Salah as the new head coach, but they also traded for one of the best edge rushers on his former New York Jets team in Jermaine Johnson III. With Johnson and Jeffery Simmons manning the trenches defensively, suddenly that defensive line is no longer as big an issue.

Defensively, the Titans have plenty of moves and picks they can make that will fortify their defense before the start of the 2026 NFL season. There aren’t nearly as many ways they can beef up their offensive skill positions outside of Jeremiyah Love with this pick. While Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are fine, they aren’t nearly as talented as Love. Drafting Love would immediately give Ward another weapon and would give the Titans a better offense than most people think. This team has the pieces on both sides of the ball as is, but a running back of Love’s caliber would cement Tennessee’s offense for the foreseeable future.

David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

The previously mentioned acquisition of Jermaine Johnson III did a great job helping Tennessee get stronger at the edge position. Unfortunately, it didn’t completely fill the need for the Titans. Robert Salah’s defenses love to have plenty of solid options on the defensive line, especially at the edge position, and one player isn’t enough for Tennessee to truly become the team they envision themselves becoming. Drafting an edge rusher, especially one of the caliber of David Bailey, would really make their defensive line scary.

David Bailey is the best edge rusher in this draft, and it’s not all that close. He was one of the big reasons Texas Tech’s defense transformed itself into one of the best units in the country last season. He has great size, fantastic speed and is a menace in both the pass rush and in run defense. Simply put, there aren’t too many negatives about Bailey’s game. If the Titans go with Bailey and put him on the opposite side of Jermaine Johnson III with Jeffery Simmons in the middle, there aren’t many teams in the NFL that would have a better defensive line. Since the game is won in the trenches, it makes sense that David Bailey is among the top Tennessee Titans’ draft targets, if he makes it to them.

Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

The edge rusher position for the Tennessee Titans is a need, but so is linebacker. With all due respect to Cedric Gray, Cody Barton and James Williams Sr., they are not the type of linebackers that win you many games. The Titans need an impact player at the position, and that is exactly what Sonny Styles would bring to the team. He has incredible size and speed, and is a huge difference maker whenever he’s on the field. He can drop back into zone coverage in passing coverage, and he has the speed and ability in pursuit to become a factor in run defense.
