Alongside betting on the Super Bowl coin toss and the game’s MVP, among the most popular Super Bowl props every year is the Gatorade color prop bet. Around the world, everyone is trying to guess something as little as what flavor of Gatorade the winning team will be drinking. This is because the players dump it on their coach’s head once the game is over, revealing to us the winning color.

This is one of the Super Bowl prop bets that anyone can put money on. You don’t need to know a single thing about football in order to guess the winning Super Bowl Gatorade color odds.

Luckily, the Gatorade color prop bet odds reflect how random it is. We will be using the Super Bowl prop bet odds from BetUS Sportsbook. Thanks to the sheer randomness of the bet, all of the odds return solid gains no matter the bet!

    Super Bowl Gatorade Color History

The first Super Bowl Gatorade shower in history came in 1987, when the New York Giants gave one to Bill Parcells. This has continued almost every single year, to the point that there are Super Bowl odds for us to bet on now.

Here are the past 24 years of Super Bowl Gatorade color history.

The most common Super Bowl Gatorade color has been orange, appearing five times. However, Blue Gatorade has been the most common recently, with it appearing in three of the past six seasons. Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to pull off the first Super Bowl three-peat. After back-to-back Super Bowl wins with purple Gatorade, will they want to switch things up this season?

What Color Gatorade Do the Chiefs Use?

The Kansas City Chiefs have won the Super Bowl three times since 2020. They used orange in 2020, but Kansas City has used purple in back-to-back Super Bowl wins. With a three-peat possible, I would imagine the Chiefs try not to rock the boat. It makes sense that the shortest Super Bowl Gatorade color odds are for purple, and it would be my personal pick for Kansas City.

What Color Gatorade Do the Eagles Use?

We have a couple of great trends for the Eagles’ Gatorade color. The only Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl win was in 2018, defeating the New England Patriots. Following the win, the Eagles dumped yellow Gatorade on Doug Pederson. This season, following the NFC Championship, the Eagles’ Gatorade color was yellow once again, which was seen when they showed Nick Sirianni with it. Philadelphia will continue with their old school approach, drinking the original flavor of Gatorade (yellow)

In my mind, there is no reason to bet on Super Bowl Gatorade color odds for any color other than purple or yellow/green. If you think the Chiefs will win, bet on purple. However, if the Eagles are your choice, then you should bet on the yellow/green option.
