The Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) has reached its penultimate race of the 2022 season. The fifth SRX Racing event is at Federated Auto Parts I-55 Speedway. Where is that you might ask? Well, it is located in Pevely, MO. I-55 Speedway will also be the first of two dirt races this Saturday.
Bobby Labonte picked up his first win in his SRX Racing career last Saturday and take away the points lead from Ryan Newman. Will Newman be able to take back his points lead on the dirt this week? Federated Auto Parts I-55 Speedway Track Information
Opening sometime before 1987 (the earliest race I could find on the web), I-55 Speedway has been hosting World of Outlaws for many years now. The 1/3 mile dirt track is banked at 19 degrees in the corners and 10 degrees on the straightaways. I-55 Speedway was purchased by former NASCAR driver Ken Schrader in 2003. It should be interesting how he does this weekend at his own track.
In 2012, the track was renamed Federated Auto Parts I-55 Speedway after the auto parts store bought the naming rights. This is the first SRX race to be held at the track.
