Revel has taken a more adventurous route to the NFL than most, starting his college career at Louisburg College in 2020 and only playing six games over two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He transferred to East Carolina and, after a year, flourished into a force, earning Second-team AAC honors before a torn ACL cut his 2024 season short. Had he been able to play the full season, he’d certainly have an even more impressive statline.

When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
The biggest strength of Shavon Revel is that he is a freak athlete. He has blazing speed, is big, and has incredible jumping ability. Revel is a willing tackler who is the rare athlete who can use his athleticism to close small distances on any receiver at the next level. He is also able to win most jump balls as well due to his athleticism and ability to time his contact to disrupt the receiver.
Weaknesses
The biggest knock on Revel right now is the ACL injury he’s coming off of from last November. While he’s a young player who will likely won’t be impacted by the injury, there’s always cause for concern with major injuries this early.
Outside of the injury, he was blown by too often in press coverage in college. In the NFL, the receivers are too fast for him to make up that ground consistently. Additionally, Revel also face-guards the receiver too much and doesn’t turn around to make plays on the ball as often as he should.
