Purdue was one of the best teams in college basketball for most of the season but fell off hard near the end of the year, losing six of their last 10 games, including four straight losses at home. Even with their struggle, they’re as dangerous as any team with Big Ten Player of the Year Braden Smith and forward Trey Kauffman-Renn continuing to impose his will in the paint. The Boilermakers are battle-tested as well, finishing with the fourth-toughest schedule in the country. If this game turns into a dogfight, Purdue will not often come out of the other side as the loser.
