The Predators surprised many NHL betting analysts by even reaching the postseason in the first place. For the Hurricanes, it was business as usual on Monday. Carolina has been virtually unbeatable at home this season. They edged out the Florida Panthers for the Central Division title and that home ice could prove vital as the NHL Playoffs advance. The Hurricanes are as deep as any team in the league and a legitimate NHL betting pick to hoist the Stanley Cup this year. Jordan Staal was brilliant in the Game 1 win with two goals. Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic stopped all but two of the shots he faced, but he wasn’t overly busy. Needless to say, the Predators will need to generate more than 24 shots on goal if they are to make this a series.
